Very pleasant, private annexe to a family house. Essentially a bedroom with kitchenette area, and sliding door to small bathroom with shower. The view from outside was lovely. The owner Carol was friendly.

Loved every minute of my time in Memory Lane! The self-catering cottage is warm, cosy, and spotlessly clean, with everything necessary provided to ensure a great stay! It's very peaceful...within short walking distance of a lovely beach and Muckross Head and is surrounded by breathtaking scenery...also not far from Slieve League and Glencolmcille....a must see on the Wild Atlantic Way!! The location is a great base. Kilcar is about a 10min walk and you're in short driving distance of Killbegs, the cliffs and the beach. The little house itself is great. It's very new, clean and has all the amenities you would need. Nice touches like having oil, salt to cook with and tea and coffee. Hosts were very responsive and the house feels really homely.

Carrick is a very rural area but absolutely beautiful in nature, probably the most gorgeous part of the world I’ve ever been to. Hiking around Carrick was such a good experience. In terms of food, I went to the local Chinese takeaway which was decent (can’t really expect that much from a takeaway tbf). I would recommend either having your own transport or being very prepared to walk.

Wonderful traditional music available on a few nights in the week. A traditional singing session in pub with turf fire was a highlight too.
