I would say our stay at Ouril Hotel Águeda was average but not bad. We managed to book it at the last minute due to an issue with our original reservation at another place, and it turned out to be a decent choice.
The location is great, just a 2-minute walk from a nice beach where you can swim or kite surf, and it's also close to the city center. The hotel has a gym on the top floor, though I didn’t get the chance to check it out.
Breakfast was pretty standard, but it was sufficient to keep us from going hungry. Our room felt a bit dated with some prints on the walls, but it was clean, and we enjoyed a nice sea view from our tiny balcony. The bed was quite spacious—definitely king size. Overall, it met our needs for a last-minute stay!

I loved everything about this place! The colour scheme - very relaxing, beautiful murals and paintings throughout, the extensive library and sitting out areas- both covered and uncovered, rope swings for chilling, dining area spectacular- a beautiful vibe to it, staff really friendly, helpful, generous and always go above and beyond ( it was a lovely touch that they put the ‘lion and unicorn’ bath towel out for me, knowing that it’s the same logo on my British passport! The location is very good, it's 10 minutes walking from the city centre and just across the road from the beach. There are 3 bars/restaurants around the apartment. There is also a swimming pool.
The apartment is pretty big, there is a TV, big and comfy bad. The bathroom is clean and there is hot water. In the kitchen you can find everything you need to cook a meal. Also there are a few shops with food.
There is air conditioning, but we were there in February, so we didn't need it. The temperature in the apartment was good. You can close the windows and the shutters (we had problems with windows on the other islands).
Last but not least, the owners are an amazing couple, very helpful. You can write them a message and they will help you with a lot of thinks.

Great location and top service! A 2 min. walk from the beach and close to restaurants and shops. José was 24/7 available to organize and support taxi pick-up and drop-off as well as outdoor activities. As we had a late check out, he accommodated us with solutions that made our lifes easier and able to enjoy our stay! We can recommend the place.

A lovely little town of exceptionally friendly folk. The vibe was relaxed, we all felt safe, even travelling with young kids, and it was nice to get away from our city life. People really welcomed us and we could see that it was a genuine interest towards us which made all the difference. The beach is outstanding, very clean, unspoiled and peaceful and goes on for miles. The food was beautifully seasoned everywhere we went and everyone gave us a smile. Beautiful place.

Sal Rei, although the capital of Boa Vista is small and the people are friendly. It is easily posible to walk around Sal Rei in an hour. Several beach bars in the area where you can just chill. Everything is very relaxed.

Perfect place to relax if you like a beach destination. In the island there are plenty of really nice white sand beaches completely empty. Very calm place. I would not recommend it though if you are looking for a party place, they have a few bars but not many people around. Locals are lovely and food is great. Good for a relaxing holidays but I would not stay more than a week as there is not much to do around.

Sal Rei is small and the locals are very nice and sympathetic. The local language is Portuguese but you always gonna found someone that speaks English. In the center you can found cellphone chip, gas station, supermarket, bakery, simple but good!
For those who wants to Kitesurf, Morabeza beach is the point, the wind is offshore and gusty, but most of the kite schools they have a little boat that can help you to come back to the beach, rescue your board, etc.

Sal Rei is a small, developing town that is really hoping to expand and attract more visitors. The locals were friendly and we felt safe walking everywhere, even at night. There is construction going on everywhere from the town square to housing on the outskirts. It was about a 30 minute walk from one side of town to the other, and taxis were readily available. Roads are cobblestone and/or dirt, so sturdy shoes are a good idea. Cash is recommended, as there are still many restaurants and shops that do no accept cards. It's a good idea to bring Euros with you, as the ATMs do not always have money (Escudos) available. The beaches are beautiful and not crowded, but can be quite windy. The serra at Té Manché was excellent, as was the pizza at Ristorante Pizzeria O Gato & A Raposa.

Very clean room with a balcony, -on floor 3- overlooking buildings with WORK IN PROGRESS. On the roofterrace is a small swimming pool and comfortable beds.
Excellent wifi. Nice staff, very client friendly.
Breakfast was okay. Very centrally located. Across are several supermarkets and ATM, cash withdrawel machines. Diverse restaurants in the neighbourhood. White hotel, indeed a lot is white here.
The Flat is newly refurbished, kitchen is basically new and the shower is confortable.
The owners Carlos and Isabela are very warm and they were avaiable for everything we asked for.
The location is very central, next to the biggest supermarket of Sal Rei... by walk you can reach the fresh fish market and some beaches as well!
Carolina is the perfect host : she gave us many advices to have a perfect stay in Boa Vista. Her appartment is nice, modern, well equiped and clean. Great location too : 5 minutes from the beach and center. I recommand this place 100% !
Vila Cabral 2 was comfortable enough, close to the beautiful Praia Cabral, and within walkable distance to Sal Rei. Staff members Steva and Jacira were wonderful! Thank you!
