The old city was really old, intriguing pedestrian alleys, full of history but a little abandoned. Great shops a good Italian restaurants. Very cheap compared to other European cities. Great gelato and nice people

Tirano receives hundreds of tourists every day from the Bernina Express. Most only stay for a night or two close to the train station or just catch the next train. But the city and region have so much more to offer: Great scenery, Basilica, Cathedral, Old Town, Valtellinese wines (amazing expression of Nebbiolo grape in the Valtellina), and regional foods. Restaurants in Old Town are wonderful and inexpensive and in nice weather what can beat sitting outdoors. Bus to Bormio is worth a day trip. Plus, hiking.

Tirano has a stunning old centre.
Tirano has a stunning old centre. It has some beautiful churches but is quite small and is not really buzzing at night. We took a journey to Lake Como and my husband hired a bike for somoe serious cycling. There are some beautiful hiking around the ares.

Brand new place close to bus station , train station and shops , great location and amazing view , the apartment has every thing you need , friendly owner and very helpful ( Bruno and Roberta ) highly recommend 👍🏼 definitely will go back to the same place , thanks a lot for the amazing time .

Fantastic flat, very clean, with everything what You need, I could live there not only as a turist 🙂 Very close to train station. Tirano is the beautiful small town. Allesandro waited for us on the station, showed us everything, gave a lot of very useful tips, very good comunication and contact via phone. He also helped us to find some good solutuons when we need to change a little our plans because of unforeseen event (railway strike). I would recommend it definitely! 🙂👍😀
Very spacious apartment in a pleasant location, close to the city center, restaurants, and train station. It has all the facilities you need even for a longer stay, and I wish I had stayed longer. Host was amazing, very friendly and accessible, and she even helped me with the logistics of the transport to Tirano. I loved Tirano and this accommodation has a lot to do with that, would definitely go back and recommend.
B&B Il Sorisso is in a perfect location within walking distance to the main train station and the Bernina Express station. Also within walking distance to the historic part of Tirano. The host was very attentive and served a great breakfast (included) each morning in the tea room or on the terrace. The room was very clean and comfortable.
A good, affordable place in a good location, a few hundred meters from the train station. Good if you just want a cheap place before hopping on the Bernina Express, which is the main draw of this town. The staff are friendly and helpful, and I had no difficulty communicating with them. The town of Tirano is quite nice, by the way.
