The hotel is in an excellent location, only a short walk from the nearby harbour. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was excellent and large enough for the family. Breakfast was very nice too with great selection and buffet style. The hotel is also nicely furnished and the log cabin feel is homely. It was also very safe.

A beautiful oasis, Rooms were lovely, clean and very comfortable. However, after 3 days of the included breakfast buffet it was a little boring....but was good none the less.

We had a nice suite overlooking the sea, however we changed for a lagoon suite as it was more sheltered and bonus of sun on the small terrace.
We had a great 3 night stay, played golf early each morning, only took 3 hrs with a buggy.
Food in the restaurant was extremely good, bonus of a family of Egyptian Geese in the fountain!

Sirocco restaurant, the nest cafe were good food places we tried. Coney Beach was also a spectacle. We also did a boat cruise with Knysna adventures and it was exceptional.

We were there after the Knysna Festival and it was very quiet. A post covid symptom in so many places.
Nonetheless the area is very central and we explored beyond just the Waterfront, Thesen Island and the Heads.
We had a terrific winter holiday, scenic and relaxing.

Firstly, it’s a very beautiful town with the friendliest people ever. The scenery is out of this world, there’s a variety of restaurants to visit (with the freshest seafood), plus it’s a clean and safe town. You’ll find activities such as ziplining, boat cruises, quad biking and an elephant park within town or nearby. The best bet is to drive to help with mobility. Luckily, uber works so you can get around places quite efficiently so long you aren’t in a hurry as it’s a small town so there aren’t that many uber drivers available- you’ll need patience. Overall, Knysna is most certainly worth visiting!

Knysna is great for outdoor active adrenaline junkies or just get lost in the bush. Excellent trails and never short of a view or great place to eat. People are friendly and towns are small, Very clean and sometimes feels like you not in SA. Definitely a must see place, We visited Victoria Bay, The Heads viewpoint, SPieskop reserve seeing the groot boom and drove all the way into the mountains. Tsitsikamma was far the best .

Stunning western view of the Knysna lagoon from the bedroom. Short walk to a view of the Knysna heads. The host, Aneryne, was wonderfully hospitable. She greeted us at the door, gave us loads of great walking and restaurant recommendations. She attentive, proactive and warm. The home was beautifully decorated. We especially enjoyed the local coffee table books. The space was easy going, comfortable and freeing. We felt completely at ease allowing our well trained dog to roam the area. 11/10.
This was a splendidly spacious apartment on two floors with glorious views of the lagoon and Knysna Heads. The gas hob and oven worked well and were proof against load-shedding. The bed and the lounge seating were very comfortable. The swimming pool was close by and very refreshing. I would recommend this property for an extended stay. The bathroom and the shower room both worked well. The staff were great!
First of all, the warm welcome of our hostess, her smile and her kindness. The whole house is exceptional. The room, overlooking the garden and the lagoon was ideal. Comfortable with everything that is pleasant for a short stay. The breakfast alone deserves a "wow"! For a short stay, it was exceptional, it would deserve one or two more nights. Highly recommend the Waterfront Lodge in Knysna.
Very nicely decorated hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is superb and probably the best we have ever had. The location is perfect in a very safe area close to a number of good restaurants and a short walk to the Knysna Waterfront area.
