A lovely hotel in a good situation overlooking the lake. Very clean. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Giving guidance on timetables what to see and TV channels and promptly dealing with our request for extra bedding. We had a standard twin room that was good although it was lacking enough storage space for our things. The selection at breakfast was very good my friend particularly like the smoothy maker and the orange juice squeezer. And it was nice to sit on the terrace with a view of the lake. Would recommend.

This is a authentic Italian hotel. The rooms are good but parts of the hotel need some attention. The corridors have very worn carpets and the window shutters in the rooms need upgrading. The breakfast is pretty good but no change in choices for 7 days. I also expect the bed linen to be changed after 3 days. Towels and toiletries are a good standard The food in the restaurant is very good and well worth a visit.

Perfect get away, hotel very nice clean friendly staff
Lovely quiet area in late September. Weather was on and off but always warm, rained the day i arrived and tried to one other evening, other than that it was a bit cloudy and around 23 degrees. The scenery is amazing. I went to Sirmione twice by ferry, 6 eur return. Queue for your ferry time there and back early to make sure you get on, however coming back is the busiest. I also did day trips to Venice and Verona whilst staying here. Lovely restaurants and bars, very laid back and quiet. Lots of other trips are possible around the lake, if the weather was clearer and i had more time i would have really liked to go to Malescine and Mount Baldo.

A bit too commercial and not gorgeous... preferred nearly everywhere else on the Lake we visited. Desenzano was fine but I wouldn't pick it again, use it to catch the ferry but I wouldn't recommend staying there really to be honest. Pescheira was waaaay nicer.

We’ve been all over Italy (north of and including Amalfi...
We’ve been all over Italy (north of and including Amalfi coast.) In our mid-seventies now, we can no longer tackle the steep hills of and like Perugia, Urbino, and Positano. Desenzano is flat! And perfectly charming. Nice (long!) lake promenade.
(Recommend the Lemon Tree restaurant and—the hands-down best pizza on the planet: its “Capriciosa!”)

this was a good place to stay not as stupidly busy as limone sur garde and malcescine which we did visit but it would have been too hectic to stay there. it is close to Sirmione - we rode a bike into there no issue. the hotel picolo made the stay though as it was lovely

Parts of Desenzano were pretty and we enjoyed walking along the lake side. However it seemed to be a party area and there were lots of places playing loud music with young people who seemed quite hyped up on testosterone.
There were beaches to swim in the lake but we found them very overcrowded and the water wasn’t very clear.
We visited many other places on the Lake - Malcesine, Limone, Riva, Torbole, Sirmione, Peschiera - and preferred them all to Desenzano.

Friendly, helpful staff, amazing location, superb breakfast The rooms were pleasant but not flashy, the beds were comfortable and everything was clean and well kept, the air-conditioning was amazing, easily providing a refuge from the 35c heat. Breakfast was exceptional in terms of choice and quality. The hotel is right on the lakeside, adjacent a small pebbly beach with sun beds and umbrellas for rent, and a short walk from the charming centre of Desenzano with a huge range of restaurants, shops and bus, rail and ferry links.
It was our first visit to Desenzano. We spent great time, had nice and cozy apartment with everything what we were needing during our stay. Apartment located in central area of the Desenzano and we had everything on our doorstep nice cafe, restaurants, shops and ferry. If we were struggling with something Sofia was always on Whatsapp to help us. We had wonderful experience and thinking to be back next year to explore more of this beautiful place of Lake Garda.
Very nice well located hotel, with clean rooms and excellent facilities. The beds are very comfortable. Communication for access and during the stay was very clear, with Martina being very easy to reach. The staff were very helpful and accommodating when we arrived a few hours early, getting our rooms ready early. The property is a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Desenzano, and 20 minutes from the train station.
The breakfast is excellent, everything one could wish for…we particularly liked the pancake maker!
Our room was rather small but clean and adequate with a good balcony..
