Staying at Il Casale Di Santamettole in Mugello was an absolute pleasure. From the varying breakfast choices every day and delicious home prepared dinners, to the wonderful natural setting with outdoor areas in which to relax, inclusive of the pool and pergola, we had a most enjoyable holiday. However, the greatest feature of this lovely accommodation is the care shown by the hosts and support staff. They went over and beyond to ensure our needs were met and clearly take great pride in their agriturismo with great attention to both clients and the property being of the highest standard.

We liked the pool and the lake view plus the staff was very friendly. You park very close to your apartment, which is great to pack and unpack your car, and the gate around the property is secured. Front gardens are great additions, although they are not well maintained, in need of some garden furniture update. The price was good, but we didn't get all what was in the description of the property when booking.

Plenty of space with a really lovely terrace and views in all directions. There is a good pizzeria a few minutes walk away. Good location with easy access to the autostrada. If I had known that there was a huge outlet shopping centre down the road I might have arranged our trip to include a visit, but my husband persuaded me that we didn’t have time!

We walked the Via degli Dei. This B&B was far off route (we didn’t check very well beforehand). But the hosts were so kind to pick us up in another village.

We stayed here one night on our way from Belgium to Umbria. As the hotel is located at no less than 500m from the highway, this is very functional. Surprisingly, we heard absolutely no noise from the highway in our room. The room was spacy and clean. Close to the hotel are several good restaurants and a trattoria. We went to ristorante Marisa (150m from the hotel): excellent !
We walked to Cavalina. Don't do that. There is absolutely nothing there.
Allthough allmost evertything at the breakfast was packed in plastic, breakfast was ok.
We arrived at the hotel after hiking for a few hours in the rain and what a blessing! The hotel was very warm and cosy, the bed very comfy with thick blankets!! The room was very clean and the host extremely friendly. We also had an excellent dinner! I really enjoyed my stay! We couldnt try the pool due to the bad weather, so we will have to come back! :)
My sister and I had a wonderful stay here. We were able to have dinner upon arrival (after 8pm), which ended up being the best truffel pasta I’ve had in Italy so far. Amazing hospitality, clean and tidy rooms & peaceful surroundings. The house dog Koert is the cutest golden retriever. Worth the visit!
