We're a bit delayed on writing this review but it has been on our minds since our lovely trip to Hotel Thethi in July. We informed ourselves by reading most of the reviews of this hotel, and yes, it is still a work in progress. However, don't let that deter you from experiencing this wonderful hotel. While some areas are still under construction, the incredible views, the cozy rooms, good food and incredibly generous and kind staff are worth staying here. Fun story to highlight how amazing the staff is: My girlfriend had secretly planned a birthday cake in advance to our stay, without knowing that the next bakery to make cakes is about a 2 hour drive through the mountains to Shkodër City. Without hesitation, the colleague she had got into contact with complied to this wish and even asked if she wanted it with a personalized message. Then one of the men who appeared to be a boss at the hotel arranged to pick up the cake himself! Unfortunately, since driving in the mountains is tough, one situation caused him to slam on his breaks which sent the cake flying in his vehicle. The cake was completely destroyed and despite the hassle, he arranged for ANOTHER personalized cake to be made that day and travelled a SECOND time to Shkodër City. Everything worked out perfectly! I had a wonderful birthday surprise from my girlfriend and the staff and without any extra costs. We are very grateful to the kindness of the staff. Every time we ate breakfast or dinner, we had a very generous amount of food - too much, but always delicious! The location was a short distance to the Great waterfall and Blue eye. We had a wonderful time and we would love to stay at this hotel again!

Lovely balcony view of the Mountains Bath in the room which was nice to lay in to look at the views (although the bath was set up the wrong way around so you had to lay the uncomfortable end to get the view)

We nice place to stay in Theth. We felt really in the middle of nature. Room was clean and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was good and they also serve dinner. We would definitely love to come back.

It’s a bit more expensive and for the price, we expected a bit more comfort, like for example heating (travelled in September and had 5-12 degrees and a mix of sunny and rainy days). However, Theth is a super remote village and things happen like sometimes the electricity is down. So putting everything into context - the villa is perfectly located directly next to the river, crazy beautiful view from the terrace, the room is small, but the bed was extremely comfortable and cozy. Last but not least, the hosts were incredibly welcoming, friendly, flexible and lovely. 😍 and breakfast is perfect before a hike! Can highly recommend staying there in case you want to have a cozy comfort zone after exhausting hikes!

Great location (watch out for gravel road if you have a car). Views were fantastic. The hospitality of the owners was second to none. The food was exceptional and enjoyed the personal touch of the family secret recipes.

The 2 owners were wonderful and really made the experience we had. Even though they spoke limited English they did all they could do to make sure we were comfortable and at home. The room was lovely and spacious (we booked a triple room) and the bathroom was amazing. The Albanian breakfast that was served was so tasty! The views were also beautiful and couldn’t have asked for a better location
