Vidis Chalet was likely our most expensive stay in Albania, but still represented great value for money. The view from the hotel is probably unsurpassed in Theth, and while we were unlucky with the weather, the comfort was superb. Great variety for breakfast, and also serves probably the best meals in Theth. If you are looking to treat yourself, then this is the place to go. Mira and the gang are very attentive and committed to ensuring everyone enjoys their stay.

We enjoyed our stay there. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, also the breakfast was delicious and plenty of choices. What impressed me was the staff very hardworking family that were very helpful as i travelled with two kids. The view was amazing from the hotel, you could see the whole village from there.
Definitely recommend staying there.

The whole areas is beautiful with amazing views and great possibilities for walking and hiking. The village has an interesting historical tower and nearby there are waterfalls and the blue eye to visit. We were there at the end of October so it might be (too) busy in the summer.

One of the most beautiful, breathtaking locations I have been too. Quaint but sadly it looks like it is becoming significantly commercialized now - like they are trying to turn in into the next Banff, Alberta, Canada. Lots of new hotels going up to cater to larger groups.
Very thankful we went off season to avoid large crowds that this place will be attracting now.
The drive was nerve-racking with all of the hairpin turns and steep cliffs but manageable.
Lots of different hikes for all levels here.

Our stay at Rita's guest house was absolutely delightful.
Our stay at Rita's guest house was absolutely delightful. From the moment we arrived, Rita welcomed us warmly by making a cup of tea for me and serving a traditional Albanian drink, raki, for my husband. She is incredibly funny, talkative, and genuinely welcoming, which added a special charm to our visit.
The house itself is situated in a stunning and beautiful location with breathtaking views that are simply amazing. The accommodations are well-maintained and highly comfortable.
Rita prepared a delicious dinner for us, featuring tasty village chicken that was exceptionally flavorful. Breakfast was equally wonderful, with handmade bread, butter, jam, and village tea that she had handpicked herself.
If you're looking for a perfect getaway to relax and unwind, this is the best place to be. We highly recommend Rita's guest house for a memorable and enjoyable stay!

Great place to enjoy mountains.
Great place to enjoy mountains. Some places like Blue Eye have lots of tourists, but it is worth to see this unique nature object, nice hike, and beautiful river and mountains views.
A must see Waterfall+Blue Eye one day hike. Also hike to Valbona village and sleep there or if you will be staying only in Theth so hike to Valbona pass only and get back to Theth. Those are two most popular hikes.

Very long drive to Theth, the road is narrow and traffic might sometimes be dangerous. The road is covered by asphalt but partly under repair. The village itself is very cosy. The hiking trails are not well marked but your can find them after asking advice from the lovals or another hikers. The scenery is very beautiful. Highly recommend to visit!
