Beside old city nothing to make over there . City looks very dirty, many buildings is needed to be reconstructed. Prices are to high everywhere. Main Bus Station - You buy Ticket but Bus is not coming for 2 separate Time slots. The main and biggest problem is that for summer holidays You expect go to some Beach. Forget. Everywhere to far. Or You need arrange Uber/Taxi ora Transfer to some Bay Laguna. Those are extra costs. I think City Hall must really think to improve this place. One of the main Attractions should light in the night after few minutes is just not working and nobody cares.

Zadar is stunning, we did the sunset cruise and it was terrific seeing it by night along with the Wine Tasting Zadar Wine Garden. The lower end of the town is for the 20 somethings at night, lots of bars and dance music from places so if you stay and want quiet stay up near the Sea Organ end. It's ideal for a few days to relax, stroll, eat drink and ramble, as its very pretty and frozen in time visually. Its an ideal weekend break away place, the people are lovely, it's much cheaper than (Dublin), the Airport Shuttle goes right to the Old Town, its only 25 mins max, everything is accessible, just check the heat before you go it can get scorching in July and August.

Interesting heritage of Roman and Venetian occupation which can be seen in remains of architecture and buildings. Impressive museums with fantastic displays of Roman life and treasures.
High quality food served in many restaurants especially if you like seafood, local dishes of squid and mussels were delicious.
People are kind and very easy going so makes for a very relaxed time.
Delicious local wines which can also be sampled at local winery tours. Boat trips to local islands also an easy day trip to book.

Must see the salute to the sun and the sea Organ .. Take time to walk the promenade. The City is easily walkable to ensure you get the most out of it .. book a guided walking tour to get your bearings .. it will set you up for the rest of your stay. The restaurants are varied and good quality. We tended to go for 1 or 2 courses with pre drink and bottle of wine .. comes in at less than 100 Euro. Good number of museums covering evolution from Roman through to current times. We didn`t try the beaches but did indulge in a full day boat trip to Kornati /Telascica using Arbiana cruises (food and opportunity to swim rovided) and a full day visit to Ptlivice lakes .. Beautiful but fairly tiring .. H+S is "a touch" light on site. Does get very busy in high season

The town itself is drab & not for tourists, the old town is nice & work is ongoing with the area looking onto the sea but will be stunning when completed. The restaurants were very similar with pretty much the same menus, not alot of effort put into the visuals of the food & the food & wine was expensive. Some restaurant/shop workers were unhelpful & rude, boat trip was ok. Taxis were expensive but Ubers were nearly 50% cheaper.
Nowadays Missing our lovely Black Sea in Ukraine,we have chosen to get acquainted with the sea in Croatia and we are sooo lucky that we've found this excellent place !! Great appartment!Highly recommended!Wonderful hosts, marvellous, quiet and cosy place with 30-minute walk to the old town,15-minute walk to the supermarket Lidl. The bells of the cathedral ,which are very close and start early in the morning, add to the charm of Zadar!
Looking forward to coming back to Appartmani Vanja again!!! Thank you very much,Vanja!
We liked everything. Honestly, everything, from the communication with the lady who welcomed us. To the location of the building,to the size of the apartment, the view. Was so clean. So spacious. The sheets were so clean. Was so quiet. The parking for our motorcycle was safe. Even for cars.
Zadar is a must to see. Ypu can ask the lady where to eat forsomegood advices. I strongly suggest and I give 5 stars. (The only think we did not like is that the toilet must had a bidet)🤣🤣🤣🤦🏼♂️
It is a fairly good hotel, quite standard old Yugoslav style, recently renovated. Quite simple but has adequate amenities. Everything is there, but it is not the greatest quality - which is to be expected, to be fair, based on the price. Breakfast has a good choice and enough sitting area. It is a short walk from the gates of Zadar old town - a pleasant stroll, but probably on the long side if you are with small children.
