Really fun old town with great dining options and sundowns.
Really fun old town with great dining options and sundowns. Roman ruins and city walls are beautiful. Everything is walkable and they have a walkway for running or walking that encircles the entire old town.

We visited at the end of September/beginning of October.
We visited at the end of September/beginning of October. Zadar is a nice place, without all the tourists of other well-known cities, but close enough where you can make day trips if you want. A very nice walk along the seawall up to the Morske Orgulje (sea organ), a must-see. Recommend strolling there early in the morning. In the evening, everyone gathers to watch the sunset. Old town area is close by. We took an all-day boat tour out to Kornati Island. Well worth it. Would stay in Zadar again.

Zadar was lovely for it's seaside views.
Zadar was lovely for it's seaside views. The sunset in the old town was amazing. Also the promenades by the water were great. The old town is definitely a must to visit and try some good at.
2 days in the old town are enough to visit everything you need. Would recommend visiting a few places close to Zadar if you have a car, if you are staying any longer than the two days.
Nin has lovely beaches and the Islad of Vir was very very nice for the seaside views and some very tasty icecream

I can recommend the good informative walking tour of the city. Our guide Eva was excellent and showed us all the main tourist spots giving us a brief history along the way. We loved the famous and unique Sea Organ. The Ancient Glass Museum is well worth a visit too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Demar. The rooms were excellently appointed, spacious, very clean and comfortable with direct access to the sun loungers and pool. The owner and staff could not have done more for us during our stay. Breakfasts were delicious. We were able to park immediately outside our room.
Zadar old town is very attractive and historically interesting, but a good half hour walk away, however, a shared taxi back was very reasonable. Would recommend the restaurant ‘Mama Mia’ a few streets away from the hotel.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Miramare Hotel. The hospitality of the owner and the personell was exceptional and we immediately felt home and welcome. The rooms and interior of the boutique hotel is of high quality and taste. The old town of Zadar was not far away and reachable by foot in only 10-15 min. Amazing breakfast (prepared fresh)! Dining in the hotel restaurant was of high quality as well - best chef in town! :)
After a bereavement forced us to change our holiday plans, Dijana and the staff could not have been more accommodating! On top of that, the hotel is in a fantastic location in the old town of Zadar, brilliantly placed to explore some of Zadar's top tourist attractions (such as the Sea Organ and 'Sunset Spot') as well as having a plethora of restaurants close by to chose from.
One of the greatest services and cleanest hotel I've ever been to.
Did't expect much from a 3 star hotel and turned out great. I had a much better experience in Mediteran, then in some other 5 star hotels.
Hotel Donat is in a beautiful and peaceful location on the beach side. The best location in Zadar, no doubt. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Great food.
