Beautiful location, lovely experience. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic. Clean, large rooms and friendly staff made this stay perfect. The onsen is fabulous.

Ideally situated in the Yufuin Onsen district of Yufu, Yufuin Tsuru no Yu is situated 1 km from Kinrinko Lake, 26 km from Beppu Station and 37 km from Oita Station. Nice quiet corner beside a river with running water sounds, beside a rice Paddy field facing mountain views. Breakfast is great, Japanese style with many small dishes serving. Imagine after a morning spring bath your breakfast is ready to serve you that feeling is so great.

Providing city views, Beppu Kannawa Onsen HIROMIYA is located in the Kannawa Onsen district of Beppu, 26 km from Resonac Dome Oita and 5.5 km from Beppu Station. the room was spacious and quiet. the kitchen was large and well stocked. the whole home was super clean. the owner was super friendly. this place is in Kannawa which is the main onsen location in Beppu. all the onsens are within walking distance.

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Yufuin Onsen Tsukanoma is situated in Yufu, 46 km from Resonac Dome Oita and 1.8 km from Kinrinko Lake. I recently stayed at this onsen resort in Yufuin and it was hands down the best onsen experience I've ever had! The rooms were incredibly spacious, equipped with everything we could possibly need, including a microwave and all cooking essentials. The private outdoor onsen was simply spectacular, offering a serene and private escape. It felt like having our own private villa in the heart of nature. Yufuin itself is a charming town, adding to the overall magic of the stay. What's even more surprising is the affordability of this luxurious retreat. Having stayed in much pricier onsen resorts before, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. I can't wait to return to this little piece of paradise in Japan. Highly recommended!

Boasting mountain views, Ikkoten provides accommodation with an open-air bath, a garden and a shared lounge, around 50 km from Resonac Dome Oita. The atmosphere of this Ryoken was amazing. The staff, food, and private bath were 10/10. My wife and I are vegetarians, so food was abit difficult to coordinate. At the end, we only had breakfast(vegetarian) and had to skip dinner. In spit of that though we will most definitely visit again.

Situated just 50 km from Kinrinko Lake, Okuhita Onsen Umehibiki offers accommodation in Hita with access to a garden, a bar, as well as a 24-hour front desk. This is my best accommodation experience in Japan over the years. They made every effort to ensure that guests understood the hotel's details and services, even though not all of the staff spoke foreign languages fluently. Comfortable rooms, breathtaking views, and a personal hot spring are highlights. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meals. A dedicated private room was available during dinner. Visit again for sure.

Featuring a spa bath, Shikinosato Hanamura is located in Minamioguni. This ryokan provides free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. It was super comfortable to stay here, staff service, facilities, breakfast and dinner were all great. Is a good place to relax.

Situated in Aso, 42 km from Kumamoto Castle, Syukubo Aso features accommodation with a public bath. The food is excellent, we were there for two days, already the first day the dinner was very nice, but the second day it was superb. The lady owner is extremely nice and helpful. Both the private and the public baths are very nice and relaxing. The bedding was really comfortable, all in all an excellent stay!

Located in Chikushino, 500 metres from Buso-ji Temple, Daimaru Besso has a number of amenities including a bar and free WiFi. Extremely friendly staffs, beautiful ryokan. Welcoming and safe even for solo female traveller.
