Det 2-stjerners Onsen Guest House Tsutaya ligger i Hakone, 7 km fra både Hakone Lalique-museet og Hakone botaniske hage for våtmark. Flott lite sted med god stemning. Sosialt med felles kjøkken og stor lounge. Flotte inne- og utendørsbad.

Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. It is a Japanese style inn with retro vibes. Their private onsen's water comes from the very hot spring source of Kusatsu and therefore you can experience the hot spring water without going to the public baths if you are shy. We mostly used them at night when the town's baths are closed since the inn's are 24/7 open. I would recommend to book a japanese style room as it has it's tatami and according decoration and together with the inn's yukata (there is an opt for a colorful one and geta to rent) it gives a more japanese experience. We liked that the inn had slippers for going outside which was convenient as the whole town is full with onsens (even ones that are only for feet) and therefore is more convenient to move in slippers. They have a game area with a lot of retro game (even arcade games) and Nintendo SFC System Video Game Console in the rooms. It may not be in the centre of the town (around 10 min walk for either yubatake or Sainokawara Park and open onsen) but is very close to it and also they offer pick up/drop off from the bus terminal. Staff were very friendly and helped with everything we needed. In our next visit to Kusatsu we are definitely staying there!

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Amazing experience, everything was perfect. Very beautiful place with lovely scenery, highly recommend.

Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. Everything was fantastic: The japanese room with two windows (on the side of the building), the outdoor hot spring and onsen, and most of all, the amazing breakfast and dinner menus. Do treat yourself and order one!

Edo Sakura ble åpnet i juni 2013 og tilbyr rom i en Machiya-byvilla i japansk stil, 5 minutters gange fra Iriya t-banestasjon og 10 minutters gange fra JR Uguisudani jernbanestasjon. Staff wonderful. Great location. Clean. Well maintained. Good breakfast. Great value.

Set in Hakone, 8.3 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, Hakone Gora KARAKU offers accommodation with a sauna, a hot spring bath and a public bath. A very nice big hotel room with a nice shower and we had a private outdoors onsen which was perfectly sized, heated, and with an aesthetic view.

Hot Spring Inn Hakone Suisen offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 4.2 km of Hakone-Yumoto Station and 3.6 km of Kowakudani Station. The staff was really nice and efficient! The rooms and bath are amazing !

Located just 2.5 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Morinouta offers accommodation in Nikko with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as luggage storage space. The kindest people you have ever met. Bar none. The baths were divine.

Providing lake views and a garden, Chuzenji Pension offers accommodation in a prime location in Nikko, within a short distance of Kegon Falls, Chuzenji Lake and Chuzenji Temple. Staying here was a fantastic experience! The situation of the house overlooking Lake Chuzenji is incredible and the owner was wonderfully hospitable. The pension is run extremely well by the lady and her team who provide a delicious traditional meal - we enjoyed this experience so much and it was a real highlight of our trip. The pension’s location was the perfect base to enjoy the beauty of the Lake Chuzenji area and the hiking and natural surroundings it offers. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anybody considering a trip to Nikko/Chuzenji. Thank you!
