Offering sea views, Sea View Inn MURAMIYA is an accommodation situated in Wada, 14 km from Kongoin Temple and 19 km from Maizuru Brick Park. Location was excellent; we came in mid-October and had the entire beach to ourselves whilst the weather was still warm, it was a little surreal to have an entire town with restaurants and the beach open just for us; a hidden gem! Coming straight in from the sea to the hotel's warm sauna and baths was a real treat as well

Located just 19 km from Phoenix Plaza, Awara Onsen Matuya Sen Sen features accommodation in Awara with access to an open-air bath, a garden, as well as a lift. We were delighted with our visit. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. It was one of three onsens we visited, and I must say it was as good as the others, which were more expensive. They were also very good about meeting us at the station with their limo bus. Very enjoyable.

Located in Wakasa, 15 km from Obama, 湖上館パムコ (Passionate Movement for Communication) features air-conditioned rooms. Luggage storage and free private parking is available on site. The location was amazing, the staff was so super nice and the kayak tour was such a great experience. We would recommend this to everybody looking to in the area. In the end we could even ride their rental bikes along the lakes to the train station and drop them off there. Thank you so much for the wonderful time :))

Amid its magnificent garden with koi-pond, Japanese-style hotel Haiya features hot spring baths, Japanese stone saunas and karaoke rooms. Haiya Ryokan Hotel is an exceptional property. Its beautiful and traditional facility is complimented by the exceptional service from all staff. The rooms are quiet, very clean and elegant. Most enjoyable is the Onsen bath. I would highly recommend.

21 km from Phoenix Plaza in Awara, Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Awara features accommodation with access to a hot spring bath, public bath and open-air bath. If you enjoy local cuisine and Onsen with locals in a simple clean hotel, this is the place for you. In a quiet (almost deserted) town on a weekday, I least expected this hotel to be full. With paying half board for buffet dinner with king crab legs and grilled marbled beef, their star dishes. Breakfast was excellent, esp the rice bowl with items such as mentaiko, sashimi scallops, minced toro, sea bream soup, lovely French toast, croissants. The variety is wide for this 3* hotel. Outdoor Onsen was lovely.

Set just 20 km from Phoenix Plaza, Awara Grand Hotel features accommodation in Awara with access to an open-air bath, a garden, as well as a 24-hour front desk. As I didn't eat at the hotel, I cannot make any judgment about the food quality, but for me the access to several top onsen in the hotel, beside the several public ones in the town made my stay at the hotel very pleasant. One of them is even open all night long until 10AM. My traditional bedroom was also a strong point. At some point after I checked in, someone came and prepared my bed. The staff was very nice, and despite their limited English, made its utmost to serve me. The hotel is located within 5 minutes from a bus station, close to Awaraonsen and from which you can board a bus to Eihei-ji temple or Tojimbo in the other direction. If you wish to visit both places, you can buy a two day pass for this bus line.

Rokans Glover‐Tei atrodas 7 minūšu pastaigas attālumā no dzelzceļa stacijas Awara Yunomachi (līnija Mikuni Awara). The indoor and outdoor public bath house was well design and beautiful. And the hot spring water is of a excellent quality.
