Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
The hanok is really beautiful and centrally located.
We had a room with mountain view: one big futon for two people, three small windows and a bathroom fully equipped with towels and products.
Breakfast is 100% Korean and is served in the main building, prepared by Mrs.Kim: food is delicious and it is a lot, you really dont' need to have lunch after such a rich breakfast.
Mrs.Kim's husband is willing to help, providing infos about restaurants, eateries and activities.
The hanok is centrally located. Room had a small kitchenette (which we didn't use) and a bathroom, fully equipped with towels and products. The room had one futon for two people.
Breakfast has fruits, jam, bread, milk, cereals, egg, coffee, tea, juice.
Well located and friendly staff. Korean rooms are nicely arranged with futons which might be experienced as a bit hard.
Overall very happy with a good value for money in an excellent location.
- Small, quiet, lovely wooden motel
- Traditional Korean-style mattress (futon), clean and comfortable
- The host couple is very friendly and hospitable
- They guided and introduced us to the main attractions in the city and how to go there properly. They also lent us 2 bicycles.
- In general, everything is great
Amazing place! Very nice owners, beautiful garden and tasty breakfasts. I fell in love with this hanok, our room was small but comfy, tatami in Dorandoran was the most comfortable "bed" during our whole journey in Korea! After our visit, they gave us beautiful postcards with Dorandoran hanok 🤩
Lovely place close to the touristy part of Gyeongju. Room was spacious and clean. The futons slept surprisingly well. The owner/employee was indredibly nice when we dropped off our suitcases early.
Very cozy and calm guest house, the garden is beautiful, the room and bathroom was extra clean and the futon style beds were also quite confortable. The host was very nice and helpful, she gave us a very good recommendation for a place to eat and she even called a taxi for us when leaving. We even receive a little gift! :) It was also nice to have breakfast in the common area, different options of beverage and bread is provided, as well as sliced fruit! The location is great, just close to the main street but in a quiet street. 너무 감사합니다.
It was a very nice and quiet place to stay in the middle of a lively area. Interesting to experience the Hanok and the futons provided were also comfortable. The courtyard garden was very nice and the hosts friendly and helpful. As a bonus, there was a cute cultural experience at breakfast time :)
Traditional hanok house in an alley off the most traditional street in Gyeongju. Great location for tourist attractions, restaurants etc. Nice room, traditional with futons plus all usual amenities. Underfloor heating and AC. Common area with microwave and sink. Helpful owner. Washing machine for laundry.
