The staff was so accommodating and very nice. They were a highlight for us. Our room was big and felt like a retreat in the middle of our travels. The baths were very nice and clean. We had a great time.

Inconvenient location. Shuttle schedule not very flexible and not very accommodating had a group of twelve would not even send the shuttle to pick us up at the station that was down the hill from the property. No English speaking front desk!! The first person I spoke to on the phone trying to get picked up, no English, personality of a “Toad” & no Japanese hospitality very disappointing.

NIPPONIA Chichibu Monzenmachi, hotel in Yorii

NIPPONIA Chichibu Monzenmachi offers accommodations in Chichibu, 28 miles from Kumagaya Rugby Stadium and a 3-minute walk from Chichibu Shrine.

Charming, large space; hinoki bath tub that smells wonderful; friendly staff and great food. Building is not well insulated but there were AC/heating units in every room, including the bathroom. Totally worth opting for the dinner—not only does it taste good, but they also seem to focus on locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Would like to come back and try staying in different rooms/buildings.
