Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
We styed one night at the hotel. Overall the hotel is bit dated, but the room was clean and futon were very comfortable. Breakfast was really good. Lots of choices. Calm location. We enjoyed the onsen.
The hot spring is very nice. The hotel is newly renovated. So the rooms are clean.
The breakfast is nice too, although not many choices but is sufficient , got some nice choices like fish sashimi. We dont like the waygu beef slices, so so. But they offer steamed tofu, steamed egg, curry, and udon are very good. Wish they offer fresh grind coffee instead of those instant coffee .
We like how shower room is separate from the toilet. It gives each other some privacy and avoid the need to fight over the bathroom or toilet.
It was a very nice experience staying in a Japanese ryokan. The staff were very friendly. The shared bathroom was great (I took a bath early, so the ofuro was all mine - nice hot water, so very relaxing!). The free breakfast was great! Very good value for money!
