While the hotel was immaculate and the room was very comfortable, the shining star of this hotel was their hospitality. While the Japanese are known for their hospitality, the staff here were extraordinary. We had a private taxi rented for the whole day, who did not show up. While we didn’t speak very much Japanese, the staff noticed we were waiting, invited us to sit inside, called the taxi company, arranged for a new driver (with a different company) to take us and even gave the kids a treat while we waited. My wife and I were blown away and cannot recommend this hotel enough. They treated us like family.

Experience culture authentically with a stay at these traditional Japanese-style accommodations. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath, plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
The room is spacious
We stay in a lake view Japanese room
The onsen is fantastic
Big & the design of the onsen is unique
Friendly staff especially the welcoming staff
Also the staff who served our dinner in room
Swimming tickets were issued although we didn’t use them
Fun place to stay. Really excellent personal and friendly staff who helped us with the bags and made registration really comfy. The breakfast was excellent and they packed the sandwich we couldnt fit in!
Nice onsen with outdoor rock bath. Great tatami mat room with sea view. All in all excellent!
We had a wonderful time in the hotel with a beautiful japanese style bedroom with a beautiful view on the sea. We did the onsen which is small but confortable and clean. We can park at the hotel. We were at the upper floor, there is no elevator as mentioned in other comment but the staff kindly helped us to carry the luggages upstairs (we carry them down). It was manageable for us.
The onsen is large and covered but opens to view of trees, and is a great way to relax and enjoy nature. There is a self service juice/coffee bar inside a reading room next to lift lobby.
There are four onsens which are out of my expectations. Each one is unique which provides me different experience The onsen water is a little bit hot, but comfortable.
Buffet is great, fresh food veggies and fish from local farms and matket. Tastes yummy. Must try the multi-vegetables smoothie served in the breakfast buffet.
There was a roof top onsen, and I could see the night skies. Free parking, definitely need a car to get there.
A stay there allows you to use onsens at their sister hotels/ryokans. Unfortunately we didn't have time to check these onsens.
Breakfast was good with lots of varieties. Room was spacious. We enjoyed our stay.
