Everything was perfect, even by Japan standards. Staff was kind and receptive. Both supper and breakfast were the highest quality and presentation, with the staff very helpful and talkative. The grounds and building are beautiful, with the interior itself a standout. I loved the design and ambience, from the baths to the hallways to the reception to the bar to the dining room.
This is a standout ryokan, the best of the best. And the best part? Mr. Narita, the bartender! He made our experience so warm, it will always be a cherished memory. Good man!

Attention to detail from the design of onsen to the adjustable bedside table ( very soft to reading strength). Great service. Refined dinner and breakfast sets. The public onsen and private ones all have views. Public bath has various types of temperature and cold plunge which I loved. There is also a hinoki soaking tub w view in the room. Overall the ryokan married traditional Japanese style with western comforts so seamlessly. We really enjoyed our experience.

Room is nice and spacious. Bus stop is just outside the hotel. Multiple onsens in house. Breakfast and included dinner have great selections. Happy hours in the lounge is a really nice little touch.
Experience culture authentically with a stay at these traditional Japanese-style accommodations. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath, plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
The hotel has a wonderful ryokan feel to it which makes it such a special stay. The room was surprisingly spacious considering it is a hotel in a major city in Japan. The breakfast was delicious. The onsen was a wonderful feature in the hotel to experience the Japanese culture.
Great ryokan style accommodation plus onsite onsen experience, room was great albeit a tad small for 2 big luggages. Otherwise everything was near perfect, love the whole design of the hotel all the way from the entrance, lobby, lifts and room.
Amazing onsen facilities, extremely clean and well-kept, as well the entire ryokan grounds. Room was cleaned and free socks given every day. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. An absolutely wonderful experience and memorable stay.
We loved our stay at ONSEN RYOKAN Yuen Sapporo.
It is a warm place to feel at home in a cold city.
The room was spacious and comfortable.
We would recommend this hotel to everyone.
The is a top notch hotel.
We wanted to truly experience Japan so we stayed in a tatamii own Onsen (mineral baths) which was lovely. My husband and I went to the Onsen daily.
The hotel is centrally located. We came to Sapporo for the Ice and Snow Festival and it was a quick walk to the sculpture sites. The shopping streets and subway station is also just a quick walk.
We highly recommend the La'gent hotel.
A lovely, modern room. We slept so well in our futon beds, after the beautiful onsen with sauna. Loved the complimentary welcome drinks. Front desk staff were very accommodating. Overall a very well priced stay in an exceptional hotel, easy shuttle bus from the airport, and 25min walk to the train station the following day
This hotel is located centrally but when we stepped inside, we felt like we were in peace! The room is very tastefully furnished in the style of a japanese guest house with tatami mats on the floor. It is equipped with all important amenities and complimentary water, tea and small snacks. The staff is friendly and attentive. The onsen is well maintained and has a sauna as well as high-quality care products.
