Each meal was special and unbelievably beautifully presented. We’ve tasted things that didn’t know existed.
We had a room with a private onsen. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it if you already made it all the way there. The room was simple but very clean and comfortable.
The public onsen is also nice, especially the outdoor pool.

Our stay at Itamuro Onsen was truly exceptional. Words can hardly capture how special this place is. Surrounded by exquisite nature, beautifully curated furniture and ceramics, a sophisticated art library, and gardens designed by renowned artist Kishio Suga, it was a memorable experience. The onsens were perfect for the relaxation you need after spending some days in a busy city like Tokyo.

This was my first trip to Japan and I wanted to have an authentic experience of Japanese culture. The onsen was beautiful and the onsen egg was a special treat. The staff were fantastic and the value for money was incomparable. The kids had fun in the little throwback arcade.

Very spacious room with good large double bed. Very nice staff. The welcome drink & snacks between 3 and 5 are super. The shuttle to and from the Nasushiobara train station is a plus. The buffet restaurant with all-you-can-drink is good, but the menu on both evenings was almost fully identical. The natural onsen.
Onsen was nice but dont expect great views. Nice touch to have a wine/drink bar outside the onsen area, Good to have a round of conplimentary drinks and snacks.
Really clean, great location (if you have a car), lovely and quiet, had everything we needed. The hosts were very responsive by message when we had questions. Some nice restaurants and a good supermarket within 15 mins drive. Easy to get to Nasu Highland Park, Nasu Animal Kingdom and the Nasu onsen area.
The staff are very friendly and caring. The service is excellent. Facilities may be a bit dated but are kept clean and tidy. Private onsen is well decorated and comfortable to stay. Definitely recommend as a great choice to enjoy traditional onsen and meals for its price.
The staff were so nice and accommodating. Foreign staff was in charge of our stay it helped us understand our first ryokan experience better!
They gave us free transport to the bus stop, and on your way out they give you free bus tickets to nasushionara station.
The hotel is not near the main road, so it offers privacy and a tranquil environment. The Onsen was one of the better ones. Rooms are spacious and feature a lovely balcony to sit in and enjoy the nice view. There are 4 washing machines and dryers located on the 5th floor plus several vending machines here and there. The bathroom is clean and not cramped at all.
