Experience culture authentically with a stay at these traditional Japanese-style accommodations. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath, plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
Tatami room. TATAMI ROOM! Typical japanese kitchen. Well situated very near the train station, the beach, the Whale Museum, various restaurants, a Lawson Station, and mountain hiking trails.
Nice location at the seaside, quiet and good to relax. We stayed at a weekend and the hotel was more or less completely booked.
The buffet dinner was in our view ok with a good choice of dishes, though it is kind of busy and is more suitable for families with kids than for those who intend to enjoy a romantic/decent dinner à deux.
The Onsen was kind of average, nothing special, nothing bad.
Peaceful location and a beach to watch the sunset a short walk from the room. Dinner had a great selection of dishes and desserts. Breakfast was also really good. Indoor and outdoor onsen was the perfect temp. Really enjoyed it.
