Amazingly comfortable and the English speaking host was a very nice touch. Great to get away from the usual tourist traps to enjoy majestic views of the moon and sunsets! A perfect anniversary celebration.

This was probably one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in Japan! The onsen was lovely, the service was wonderful, and the view from our room was unbelievable. Not to mention the delicious food (we paid for the breakfast) and the futons themselves were incredibly comfortable.

The house is very nice and the people that run it are super nice. I didn't spend much time there or had any meals, I've heard they are good.
The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean and spacious.
Waking up in the early morning with the sounds of birds surrounded by the mountains in a small quiet Japanese town was a great experience. I wish I had more time to stay.

The meals (dinner and breakfast) were nicely presented. The waiting staff were polite and cordial. The waitress told us about the Japanese Air Defense team's air show that day and warned us about the crowd that might cause difficulty at the train station, which they did. We were very thankful.

You can tell the age of the building from its look. But we have our best stay here during our trip.

Great food. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, it’s so special and delicious, better than the high ranked restaurant we found nearby.
Great view. You can literally stay in Ama-no-Hashidate. Quiet, private, without street light at night. The onsen is spacious and well maintained.

we love this place so much. a quiet little harbour. the day we booked had no other customers, so we could enough the whole hostel and the onsens. the dinner is extraordinary and remarkable, also the breakfast. the room is big and clean.

Breakfast was delicious and we had spacious comfortable rooms with great view. The public onsens were really nice and looked exactly like the pictures shown in the website. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Multi-course superb japanese breakfast, traditional experience, eat while viewing the most beautiful, relaxing ocean scenary. The onsen is wonderful, open till 11pm. The village itself is quite remote, dont expect a buzzling tourist hub. Situated on the ocean scenic parkway route 178, gorgeous!
Really nice Ryokan with a private onsen and a lovely lounge inclusive a foot onsen. The room has enough space with a private toilet. The host is very helpful with everything and picked me up from the train station.
I also could use a bicycle during my stay.
