Outstanding staff members provided service that far exceeded our expectations. Every person we encountered was genuinely friendly, polite, and committed to making us feel at home. Ota san was exceptionally sweet and attentive and we looked forward to seeing her every day. Oishiya is a beautiful, traditional ryokan that offered public & private baths (no reservations needed) and is steps away from the sea. Imagine waking up and being able to gaze at the sea from your bed! Kaiseki meals (breakfast & dinner) were amazing - delicious and beautiful. Though we stayed for 3 nights, the meals never felt repetitive as they switch dining rooms and courses each night. Appreciated the drivers who will regularly pick you up and drop you off at the bus or train station. Their timely and courteous service allowed us to enjoy Oishiya's peaceful location while still having access to other sights in the Mie prefecture. It was a perfect stay!

This place is a gem. It's walking distance from the Ise train station, and right along a nice shopping street, so it gets high marks for convenience. In addition to an onsen, our room had a separate soaking tub with hot water, which was absolutely great. We also got breakfast and dinner, which was absolutely delicious. It's a lot of food, but it's all beautifully prepared and the service is impeccable. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

This hotel is very traditional Japanese style with tatami mat rooms and traditional elaborate Japanese meals. The room we stayed in was built in 1830. The empires stayed in the hotel in the 1980’s. In some respect the experience was staying in an antique but we loved it. Tge staff were so kind too.

Hinode Ryokan is an old-fashioned family-run inn just a short walk away from Iseshi train station and Ise Jingu Outer Sanctuary. The staff is kind and helpful, the facilities are clean, and the traditional Japanese breakfast is very filling. I’ve used this accommodation as a base for visiting the Ise Jingu, Meoto Iwa, and Matsusaka by public transport, and found it very convenient.
If you are up for a classic ryokan-type stay that doesn't bust your budget, this is the place. Innkeepers are very friendly and helpful. Our room was large enough and the bath was a communal bath was a great Japan-only experience. Breakfast is very Japanese so might not be for everyone but it's the experience that counts.
Just a short work to the famous Meotoiwa shrine, so that we easily could watch a nice sunrise in the early morning.
Very nice kashikiri onsen, which offer you privacy while bathing.
A free shuttle bus from Ise station to the hotel made it very comfortable.
Staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. They were available to answer our questions and provided a wonderful breakfast for us. We had our luggage shipped from Tokyo with Yamato transport and the staff gladly accepted this and had it waiting in our room when we arrived. The onsen was an absolute delight. The ryokan was quiet and the room was very comfortable
Absolutely gorgeous small Japanese inn with all sorts of amenities and services. The house oozes with historic atmosphere. Baths available for guests as well. Comfortable rooms and futons.
Very friendly staff, especially a lovely kind old lady, she even helped me to carry my heavy luggage to the second floor! The location of the hotel is just in front of the sea. The famous Futami Okitama shrine is about less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The Japanese inn is rather old and has authentic ryokan style. The room is very clean.
