Experience culture authentically with a stay at these traditional Japanese-style accommodations. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath, plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
Overall was very nice. We wanted the traditional ryokan, onsen experience and this certainly met our expectations. It is a decent half hour drive from Himeji but the ryokan offered a complementary shuttle service. Dinner and breakfast were good and they even did our breakfast early as we had to leave early.
Lovely ryokan in the middle of a quiet Japanese forest. We had an amazing dinner and breakfast, and enjoyed soaking in the natural hot springs on the hotel property. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to take a quiet break from the world and just relax for a few days.
