Lovely cabin with very friendly staff. Pickup service offered from Sasaguri Station was very convenient and appreciated as the location is a bit out of the way. The beds were very comfortable and the in-suite onsen was so lovely (although very very hot at first but you can add cold water - give it 5 to 10 minutes depending on your heat tolerance).
Boasting various outdoor/indoor hot spring baths and on-site massage salons, Nansuikaku provides spacious rooms featuring chic furnishings and a relaxing ambience.

The room, baths, and meals were amazing. We had our own private onsen but used the public ones too, all were very nice. The included meals were delicious and seemed to be a great range of traditional Japanese cuisine.

We loved everything! The food was traditional Kaiseki dinner. Fresh fruit, vegetables and filling. We loved the traditional old wooden building architect and wooden smell. Being able to wake up and explore the temple ground was one of a kind experience. Easy to get to by foot and a small carry on.
Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
Fantastic, old school Ryokan. Definitely recommended for those who want to experience Ryokan in luxury. Staff were wonderful, coffee lounge comfortable. Everything was very clean. Dinner- and breakfast service outstanding. The dinner and breakfast are traditional Japanese: while we were unable to finish all the food offered, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Futons were very comfortable.
The Ryokan was very friendly to foreigners and tried their best to accommodate us to the best of the ability and was very forthcoming and help when we added a meal service to our stay. My friends and I truly enjoyed our experience there.
Everything was amazing! Extremely comfortable futon, gorgeous room, amazing exquisite onsen, oustanding breakfasts and beautiful staff. Will recommend far and wide.
The hotel is a traditional Japanese style setting, with nice Japanese garden, onsen and meals. The entire experience was truly sensational, including the staff were friendly, capable of English speaking and attentive. My room size was sufficient for 3 people and the room layout was very user friendly. Overall, I rate it as a 5-star hotel experience.
Authentic ryokan experience with onsen and nice Japanese garden. There’s a coffee lounge with free coffee, table tennis room to keep one occupied. Perfect for a chill holiday!
The traditional ryokan was very nice, the Japanese ladies who attended to me during Check in and breakfast and dinner time were very friendly and tried their best to communicate with me even though they may not know how to speak English and i cannot speak Japanese. The onsen was big and quality of water was very good. It was quiet and I loved the stroll in the Japanese garden which was beautiful. The dinner was excellent and so delicious.
