Situated in the Hirugami Hot Spring area, Sekitaitei Ishida features free WiFi access and free private parking in Achi. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Rooms include a flat-screen TV.

Everything about this ryokan is exceptional. Elegant, personal and heartwarming. The service is probably the best I've experienced in Japan; it's personalised, helpful and friendly, without feeling overbearing. The food is absolutely amazing and the dining experience feels like you're being transported to a traditional, authentic Japan, which is a rare thing for modern ryokans to achieve. The onsen is also outstanding; the water quality, the facilities, the cleanliness, the atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Takimi Onsen Inn that only accepts one group per day features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 9.1 km of Otsumago and 9.3 km of Kotoku-ji Temple.

With single group booking (at a time) the feeling is more relaxed and private than a hotel. Extremely friendly owner, helped me with directions for planning my day there. I ended up going to see the peach blossoms, hiking up a beautiful hill and finishing my day off at an onsen. So much interactivity from the owner, who would message me through the day when I got lost. Great location, and free parking available (tell them in advance). Host let me use the facilities which was a great help. Very clean and a nice house.

Top ryokan with beautiful shared and private onsen. The breakfast and meal were really good and large. It’s definitely worth paying extra for the meal. The town has so many beautiful walks and looks great in blossom season.

The service was beyond excellent. I cannot commend the staff enough for their kindness and commitment to making sure we were fully taken care of. In particular, the gentleman who speaks English, he made sure to always check in with us / follow through with whatever we needed. I also loved the fact that there are private onsen rooms, AND private indoor / outdoor onsens available for booking (since both of us have tattoos).

Attentive and friendly staff from point of arrival to check-in. Enjoyed the onsen water which felt silky smooth, read that it was a 9.7 pH alkaline. Nice walk along the river where the hotel is situated.
