The courtyard style house fit perfectly with the neigbourhood and the rooms were spacious with an attached living room area and tea sets as tea drinking is a big deal in Shantou. The area is slightly out of the way but this means u enjoy peace and quiet. Host was very friendly and all his food reccommendations are siperb. He even offered us logons from the trees growing in thw courtyard!
Conveniently located in Yuexiu District, one of the suburbs in the CBD, the hotel is close to a supermarket (about 5 minutes' walk), a number of cafes and a McDonald's outlet. Tugged away in a side road, the hotel is in a courtyard, away from traffic noise. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Clean and traditional place
Great location. Lots of cheap eateries in the pedestrian street Shangxiajiu and surrounding neighbourhood, offering traditional street food.
The inn is located in a beautiful traditional Chinese house.
This hotel has very nice and authentic rooms having traditional chinese design. We hugely enjoyed the breakfasts which offered the most delicious meals that we could find during our stay in this city. The location is also very nice, it is a quiet area near the metro.
The room has great design and looks very fancy with the traditional Chinese painting picture, we love the workers, they’re very friendly especially the manager.
The place was close to South China Normal University and some shopping malls. They serve traditional Chinese breakfast and it was good. The staff was attentive to my comfortable stay. Nice roof terrace for morning breakfasts.
The location is perfect if you’re flying out of T1 for a domestic service on China eastern / Shanghai airlines as it’s literally a 2 minute walk from the hotel to the terminal. Novotel and the Pullman are connected with a foyer and great facilities are sort of shared. Super restaurant in the main atrium and service is second to none including the concierge taking bags to the terminal. Outstanding and highly recommended.
