On the shores of Lake Superior, this Minnesota resort boasts separate lodge and lakefront properties. All properties feature access to hiking and cross-country ski trails and a restaurant. The night before our arrival I called to make sure that the king suite I had reserved was on the same property as the swim out hot tub which it turned out it was not, but the hotel was happy to move me to the property I wanted to be at and the room I got was a beautiful king condo with a full kitchen, fireplace, lake view, and a jacuzzi tub at no extra charge. We were given complimentary smores kits.
