Sogndal
This property has both hotel rooms and cottages. The cottages are equipped with a full kitchen. WiFi is free for all guests. The Sognefjord is 5 minutes’ drive away.
Refrigerators, TVs and tea/coffee facilities are standard features at Vesterland Feriepark Hytter, hotell og leikeland. Communal laundry facilities are also available.
Very clean cabin in a very pretty campsite surrounded by trees. Plenty of cooking equipment in the cabin also. I can’t comment on the hotel facilities as we didn’t use them.
Lavik
Situated in Lavik, Alværa Misionssenter Sommerhotel has a garden, terrace, restaurant, and free WiFi throughout the property. Guests can enjoy sea views.
All rooms at the resort are fitted with a private bathroom and bed linen.
I totally agree this is a hidden gem! The people from Alværa Missionssenter are really really friendly! There was so much to play with for the kids, table tennis, volleybal, frisbee, soccer and we could use the fishing rods as well. After a lucky catch the super friendly and good cook Jens made fish cakes as an extra for dinner, so great! They picked us up form the ferry in Lavik and brought us back as well which was excellent service. And making a fire at the fjord in the evening was the cherry on the pie, thank you very much for such a lovely stay!
P.S. The rooms are indeed very basic but they have all you need, really suitable for a stay with children as well!
Bjordal
Overlooking the Fuglesetfjord, these wooden cottages enjoy a scenic location in Bjordal village. All feature a terrace with barbecue facilities, free Wi-Fi access and a kitchen or kitchenette.
A living room with a seating area and flat-screen TV are featured in all cottages at Nesheim Hytter. Each cottage has underfloor heating and a bathroom with shower.
The views from our cabin were absolutely stunning looking across the Fjord. The owner even stopped by and introduced himself and chatted with us for a time. Our best memory though will be of seeing the Northern Lights while we were there. Something none of us will ever forget!

View directly over fjord was spectacular. Apartment was spotless and very well equipped. The host Cecilie was very helpful and friendly. Pool and sauna were such luxury.
Very peaceful and clean. I had a private room in the hostel and it felt like luxury compared to other hostels I’ve been in. I particularly liked the kitchen and seating area, shared with just a few other rooms, and the on-site beer garden.
Really nice house with a stunning view. We stayed here during Christmas and New Year’s Eve and had a lot of snow, which created a very nice atmosphere. The house is quite new and was really clean. Contact with the owner was pleasant and they responded very quickly. The ski resort was also a pleasant surprise, both for beginners and advanced skiers.
We had a great stay at the resort.. We felt like we were in our home! It was completed prepared and we are feeling we don’t wanna leave! We loved it and we will get back to it when we come back if allah pleased 😍❤️

Nice little hotel in an old wooden house. Don't expect any luxury - this is rather basic, but with a charming atmosphere.
Everything was great. To reach the resort, the hostess picked us up from the center and picked us up at the cruise terminal when we were leaving the resort. She was really kind and helpful.
Flam is an exclusive resort in the most picturesque setting. Any accommodation here will have a stunning view. Ours did too and it was a good sized downstairs area of a two storey house.
The property is fantastic. Great view, luxury amenities, helpful host. Everything was just perfect. The best place I ever visited!!!
