Highly recommend this hotel for families (also recommend having a car). We are a family of 4 and shared a room where they supplied two king singles and offered to convert the tatami area into another two beds at a preferred time (we chose 6pm). We spent hours in the beautiful spring water indoor pool .. which was very large and luxurious. The free drinks area was fantastic and you could avail yourself to refreshing cold beverages, a wide selection of hot teas and delicious coffees. The staff were very attentive and very friendly. Could not fault this stay. Would have been very different if we didn’t have a car however as the dining options in the area are extremely limited

Hakone Kowakien Hotel asub Hakone linnas, 8,6 km kaugusel Hakone-Yumoto jaamast. Kohapeal on hooajaline välibassein, tasuta eraparkla, aed ja ühine puhkeruum. The hotel is newly renovated and rooms are spacious by Japanese standards. The baths and garden are relaxing and the Japanese buffet breakfast was delicious! We also liked that the hotel is very family friendly. Most of all we liked that the manager took the time to explain combination of buses/train to take to get to our next destination. We really appreciated his kindness.
