Last minute decision to go for 4 days from Jakarta. All the 4/5 star dive resorts were full. But I think this turned out to be much better value. Very peaceful over water bungalow (upgraded to one with balcony). Arranged great diving and blue river trip with Olin Dive centre (Milo was a great instructor). And amazing early morning trip to see birds of paradise. Patricia did a great job organising everything though there was some confusion about prices due to being sent an out of date and incomplete price list. Suggest to double check. Well cooked Indonesian food; nicely varied for a 4 day stay. If it was a week I might want something different and a beach. Great snorkelling underneath the room!

Located in Tapokreng, 500 metres from Saleo Beach, Raflow Resort Raja Ampat provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Staff friendly, place clean, they did what they said they'd do, arranged pick ups, return tickets on ferry. They put in a ladder at the end of the dock so swimmers could enjoy the reef on low tide. Reef was nice.

Facing the seafront in Tapokreng, Andau Dive Resort Raja Ampat has a private beach area and a garden. Boasting full-day security, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. Rooms were good and clean, AC was working well. All of the facilities in the resort were in really good condition overall. We did multiple dives while staying there and have to thank Ross and the whole dive team, highly skilled and professional divers and all of the gear was in great condition. They also carried spare pieces of gear and emergency oxygen, which not many dive operators in RA do. All in all the best diving we have done in RA.

Wai Resort - Raja Ampat features a garden, private beach area, a terrace and restaurant in Pulau Birie. Guests can have a drink at the bar. At the resort, each room is fitted with a desk. Every single thing. The staff , the bungalow, the scenery and the little attentions were appreciated (bed prep, menu alternatives) Mr Restu and his staff (special hi to Siti) made me feel special in the best possible way. If I ever come back to Raja Ampat (and I will hopefully) this is where I am going to stay and nowhere else!

Agusta Eco Resort offers accommodation in Besir. The resort has an outdoor pool and views of the sea, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. My daughter Amanda and her husband enjoyed Agusta and they said: Agusta is a dream. The island is full of untouched life. We were at Agusta for 5 nights for our honeymoon. All the cabins are beachfront, the staff is super friendly and always greet you with a smile. Marco and Mara, the owners, are very dedicated to their island. Mara personally checks every excusion/dive plan the night before with the guides. The food is amazing, breakfast is buffet style. Lunch is usually an italian dish. For dinner you get to choose usually between a seafood dish or a variation of chicken. The only feedback we have is for the salad. Lunch and dinner would always start with a small salad, always green and purple cabbage. It would be awesome to switch it up for a caprese salad or spinach. The guides are very knowledgeable and care about your safety. Our dive guide Olen was amazing, would definitly recommend him. We will be going back!

With sea views, Raja Ampat Jousuba Homestay is set in Minyaifuin and has a restaurant and full-day security. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. JouSuba Homestay is amazing. It is a small island with only homestays on it and so remains relatively untouched for the region. The huts are on a lovely little beach with white sand extending into the sea. They are relatively simple and built with the same indigenous local style as you find in the region. However the mattress is very very comfortable which makes for a great night's sleep. The owner Ferdinand is the local service industry expert and his family own the island and the land. They are making improvements all the time and when I went in Dec24 they had just introduced starlink for amazing internet. Ferdinand was always gracious and kind and extremely helpful when planning trips, excursions and things to do. He has visions for a bright future and is therefore one of the more business savvy owners and extremely responsive to guests needs and wishes. As soon as I booked a room he reached out via WhatsApp which felt very safe and welcoming. Other Honestays can be much more laid back and if you are on a schedule it can make you feel quite anxious. His wife was an amazing cook as she has previously worked in the restaurants of some big hotels. I was fortunate enough that his kids were on holiday and were available to explore and play around with. Such a delightful warm family. Highly recommended

Korpak Villa & Resort Raja Ampat features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Saonek. With a restaurant, the property also has a bar, as well as water sports facilities. Lots of good food friendly staff beautiful location and plenty of privacy. All the food is local Indonesian which is what I look for when I travel. And an all you can eat buffet and the sun decks are nice
