The Seraya Resort Komodo ligt op het eiland Seraya Kecil, in de buurt van Labuan Bajo, en biedt een privéstrand van 200 m. We loved this beautiful boutique hotel on a tiny island built over a tropical reef. We stayed in a bamboo cottage on the beach with an outdoor bathroom from your dreams. They picked us up by boat from the mainland and we were away from the touristy town. Everything was well kept and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The restaurant was delicious and they even made us a boxed lunch to take on our one day national park tour. The hotel took us out on their private speed boat with a captain, mate and guide for a full day adventure including meeting Komodo dragons, swimming on a pink beach, hiking up to the top of Padar island and the best snorkeling we have ever witnessed. Best day of a two week trip. I wish we had stayed a few more days.

Angel Island Resort biedt een grote tropische ontsnapping op het privé-eiland Bidadari, dat op ongeveer 30 minuten varen van Labuan Bajo ligt. Angel island was one of our best experiences in Indonesia. Location is awesome, it’s very quiet and peaceful, it’s a worth when you want to get away from all scooters and city noises. They offer snorkeling gear and kayak within no cost which turns out an excellent opportunity to dive down and explore corals, marine life. The private beach is clean, (i mean.. there’s still plastic around - we understand that it is a big issue that Indonesia faces in.. however, at this island we felt a bit more environmentally preserved). We’ve also seen staff picking up trash from the shore that results in new baby corals growing up close to the shore!!! Room is large and super comfortable. Staff was very friendly, kind and smiley! They come to the room during afternoon to spray mosquito repellent and always left a treat in our bed!! We felt that we were in paradise!

The concept of the resort if nice, you arrive by walking alongside the water villas then the restaurant and main pool, and then nested in the hills, the other villas. The resort is very secluded and feels exclusive away from the masses. We were actually very glad to have taken the mountain pool villa: 1) you have a pool to swim in at night 2) the views were equally amazing if not slightly better with the colorful gardens below overlooking the bay. No shade to the overwater villas, but the crystal blue waters are very dependent on sunshine and the tides, and I would have felt very uneasy jumping off into the water when I can't see what's down below ha-ha. Definitely geared towards a romantic/relaxing setting with a lot of attention to detail (for example the jellyfish lights, villa rooftops, the way rice is served in a tower with food). Transfer from the airports by van and their boat to the resort was very well organized and stress free. The staff were always ready to help and friendly and checking in frequently on how to enhance your stay.

Alamayah Boutique Retreat Hotel is gelegen in Deke, op 6 minuten lopen van Strand Watu Bella, en biedt accommodatie met een buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een fitnesscentrum en een tuin. Everything! Amazing stay, everything is beautiful and the place is very cozy its like staying at home!

Eco dive resort Alycastre is een accommodatie met 4 sterren tegenover het strand in Maumere met heeft een tuin, een terras en een restaurant. It was one of the best ever holiday experiences! Great hosts, excellent food and great traveling company made this stay extraordinaire. If you are looking for a real hideaway that’s the place to go. Thanks Virginie!
