After traveling g around Europe it was the luxury we were looking for
Luxury large room great amenities. Lovely full English breakfast Pleasant evening in the bar Large secure car park 9 minutes trip to the quaint village of Shere.
absolute disaster - paid over the odds to stay at the hotel to have luxury for the 3 hours from 12am to 3am - however was awoken 3 times due to the fire alarm blaring for 30 seconds each time. Terrible experience - will be demanding a refund
Booked a twin room but when we arrived they had no twins left so we had to share a double. Not ideal with someone who is not your partner. They knocked a few quid off the room price and told us we had an upgraded “luxury” room. The room was awful, the mattress was broken but we were too tired to ask for a move and were told the hotel was full anyways. The air con was so loud it sounded like we were on a plane. Sofitel has gone downhill and we will never stay there again.
Spotless luxury and amazing food.
Got upgraded to the executive suite for cheaper than the luxury room. Breakfast was fab, the food actually has flavour and a great choice. The bed was unbelievable, shame I couldn’t take it with me on holiday.
Feel of luxury. Food is amazing and our waiter was very attentive and happy. Rooms have everything you need. Lovely bathroom products and loads of tea coffee etc. Rooms are silent despite being built around main entrance and restaurant area. Beds are very comfortable. You can walk through the hotel straight into Gatwick North Terminal. Just drop keys in a box for checkout and you are on your way!
I met the owner as detailed at the bar and we were personally shown to our room which has a separate bathroom across the corridor. This was a converted stable block although the building was old the room and bathroom was nicely appointed - teas, coffees and luxury biscuits were appreciated. The bathroom also had attention to detail - lovely towels, plants to add tranquility and toiletries supplied. Super comfy bed and lovely bedlinen.
The rooms were very nice. I liked the luxury comfort feel of the hotel and the staff were amazing as we were there for my brother’s wedding.
