Beautiful view from the room, private sauna in the room, and the opportunity to use the outdoor sauna with direct access to the lake. Very good restaurant. Breakfasts delivered directly to the room. The car parking is separated from the area with the cottages, which I think is a great solution.

On the shore of Lake Saimaa and 40 minutes’ drive from Savonlinna, this rural lodge hotel offers rooms and cottage accommodation. Guests have access to a communal sauna for an extra fee. Very clean house with all the amenities we needed, reception staff was helpful. There were bikes and boats free to use, and they had life vests of all sizes, including for a 8 month old baby. Sauna was inside the house and we enjoyed it daily. The surroundings are well maintained, nice lake and forests with walking paths all around the site.

This holiday village is on Loikansaari Island, 20 minutes’ drive from Savonlinna. It provides spacious cottages and villas with a fully equipped kitchen and a private sauna, terrace and barbecue. Perfect place for vacation. Far from the city ( 15 km from Savonlinna) it mean, taht you will stay at the calmness and quiet in the hidden place! We will return!

This property provides quiet accommodation by Lake Saimaa in the Finnish Lake District, 10 km from Rantasalmi. Excellent! Lot of variety of food and very delicious. With a family, we had lots of choice.

Situated 50 metres from Retretti Train Station and 100 metres from Lake Pihlajavesi, Harjun Portti offers cottage accommodation with a private sauna, fully equipped kitchen and air conditioning. Very cozy, yet spacious enough, well-furnished cabin. Loved the big porch in front, with plenty of furniture, benches, and outdoor storage space. The food in the cafe/restaurant was really good and inexpensive. Best surprise was the super fun waterpark right next to the cabins. We spent an entire day playing on every ride, game, water slide, and also did the top-notch ropes course in the trees. My two teens (14, 18) and both parents found plenty to do in the park. We also enjoyed renting tennis rackets/balls to play on the court right next to the cottages.

Situated by Lake Kolkonjärvi, Kuus-Hukkala offers rooms and cottages with a TV. Guests can enjoy a private beach and free access to a lakeside sauna. Friendly staff, nice nature, clean and cosy cottage.

We enjoyed the breakfast and the ability to wander around the property even after checking out! The dinner at the restaurant was one of the best we ever have had —- and we have been around :). We enjoyed seeing all the rental options for our family for next time!

Overlooking Lake Puruvesi in Punkaharju, this resort is 100 metres from a beach and 25 km from Kesämaa Adventure Park. Guests can rent canoes, motor boats and snowmobiles on site. Naaranlahti was a wonderful place to enjoy the Lake Saimaa district. We stayed in two connected guest rooms (there are also beautiful summer cottages available) which was very comfortable option for my family. The whole setting of the resort is beautiful on the lakeside with a little beach and crystal clear lake water. Best part of our stay were the activities: I rented a kayak and paddled to the fantastic Petri Island and with the family we rented a motor boat and explored the lake even further driving all the way to the biggest wooden church in the world (Kerimäki Church), the mysterious Hytermä Island and the little paradise island Eevansaari with its pretty sandbar perfect for swimming. I even snorkled on the waters of the island and saw a lots of fish.
