Marsh Lake
Situated on the shores of Marsh Lake (35 minutes from Whitehorse Airport), this quaint lodge features views of Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights. It offers kayaking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and an on-site restaurant for guests. This was the best place we have ever stayed!!! For the same price we paid for a room in other locations on our four-week Alaska/Yukon Territory road trip, we stayed in a gorgeous, log cabin-style suite with two bedrooms, living room, dining area, winter garden, private entrance onto the large house deck overlooking Marsh lake: The Presidential Suite with 92 m2. Every detail is amazing! The property boasts rental bikes, kayak (free), private seating down by the lake, a pool table… Our gourmet chef prepared exquisite meals both evenings (more than worth the reasonable price for three courses. Reserve in advance). Dinner conversations with other guests were stimulating and invigorating. What can I say? Martha Stewart stayed here. We felt like royalty. If you are ever in the neighborhood, do not miss this one – just 52.6 kilometers from Whitehorse.
Tagish
Offering a sun terrace and views of the mountains, Southern Lakes Resort is situated in Tagish. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free WiFi is provided and free private parking is available on site. The view was breathtaking, definitely something you do not get to see every day. The staff was so kind and made the stay that much more enjoyable. Food was delicious and the breakfast buffet was very convenient.
