Facing Preguiças River in Barreirinhas, this resort features 2 pools with a bar and sunloungers, a multi-sport court and gym. It offers air-conditioned rooms and buffet breakfast at the restaurant. We stayed one night before we entered the national park and another after we left it. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was rich and even had a corner for vegans, where I found almond milk!

It’s a beautiful luxury resort in a very affordable price. I love how private it is and how accommodating everyone was. We had access to the pool with a built in bar (!) and to the beach. There was live music (so romantic) in the evening. Our bungalow had an ocean view so we could wake up & watch the sunrise from the balcony - breathtaking. As I was driving to the property and passed very modest households, I had no idea that such a gem may be hidden in the area.

The rooms are very noisy, you can hear the person next door plug in their phone charger in the power outlet. The sink was clogged. The bedspread had a stain on it. There was mold in the bathroom. Some elderly people were there every day screaming in the lobby. Just awful.

A pleasant place with swimming pool, pool-bar, gym, sauna etc. Very good breakfast with a reasonable price. Good beds with comfortable mattresses, comfortable bathroom.. Pleasant restaurante on the river bank. The apartment owner Victor was very friendly person, always available by whatsapp, trying to do his best to fix some small issues we met.. Overall seems to be the best option in the town.

Next to Lençóis Maranhenses National Park in São Luis, this 4-star resort offers an outdoor swimming pool, a sauna and air-conditioned rooms. Free WiFi and free private parking are available. The property was very clean and staff very friendly but the room #318 was very worn out.

Vila Guará er staðsett í Atins, 100 metra frá Atins-ströndinni, og býður upp á gistingu með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, sameiginlega setustofu og verönd. We absolutely loved Vila Guara. Beautiful, romantic, enchanting, full of charm and nature. The staff, all of them, was amazing and everyone went out of their way to help, make your stay wonderful and please. Very comfortable bed. No need for air conditioning because the room was so airy. There is a mosquito net but I recommend to bring repellents. Everything is built out of wood, open to the outside and wherever you look you have fantastic views of the gardens and the beach and river. The location couldn’t be better (Atins is very big and spread out), close to - kite surfing (they have their own center in the property), village center, restaurants, horse riding, dunes. The food in the hotel restaurant is excellent and tasty. It was a dream stay, one that remain etched in the memory for years.
