Truly unique accommodation, I can only recommend the boat-shaped rooms, very cosy and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also great (fresh fruit and juice, nice coffee, pastries, etc.), especially with the stunning view of Airlie Beach and the sea. As already mentioned, the location is a bit out of town, and the shuttle bus only starts from 11am, so a car or using the 13cabs app is probably the best when going on tour in the morning. Booking the shuttle bus from the city was very easy via the Northerlies website, I usually booked the bus in advance from a close by city hotel location.

BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort is located in Airlie Beach, 4.1 km from the main street and Abell Point Marina. super clean, very friendly staff (we broke our key and within minutes it was repaired!), superb water playground

Set on 7 acres of parklands, Queens Beach Tourist Village features an outdoor pool and BBQ facilities. It is just 400 metres from Queens Beach. Hosts were very accommodating to my late check in and early check out requests! Property was easy to find at night, well furnished and clean. Great value!!

The apartment was extremely well equipped and the cooking facilities were excellent. Loved the little golf buggy that came with the apartment - such fun to drive around. Excellent pick up service from airport. Maree, the host, was very easy to deal with and gave us loads of information about Hamilton Island. 10 out of 0!

Surrounded by rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef, Elysian Retreat is a 3 hectare private cove. This gem of a retreat was exactly what me and my husband needed after a rough year. We stayed in December at the height of the wet season. It rained at various levels 3 out of the 4 days we were there but that did not affect our experience in the least. I believe it added to it. Soon after arriving I booked not 1 but 2 spa sessions; a massage and the next day a salt scrub. I felt so rejuvenated! One should not miss out on the spa experience. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. I even did Yoga every morning because Eva made it enjoyable and I don't do Yoga. The rooms were very clean, well stocked (drinks, bug spray, sun block, etc.) and quite comfortable. We love that there are only 10 huts with a max of 20 adults. We lucked out and had the place to ourselves for the first 24 hours. More couples arrived in the days that followed and everyone was so lovely to get along with. We did a whole lot of nothing during our stay which is exactly why I booked Elysian. However, if you want to do some non-motorized water activities those are available along with some hiking. We enjoyed all the delicious 5 star meals and drinks! The property is a dream and we are looking forward to going back someday. Note: We were able to take the amphibious boat in from Airlie Beach. If you are going in and out of Hamilton Island, you do need take a helicopter.
