Beautiful building, traditional Cape Dutch elegance. Close to Framschhoek, but nestled in vineyards. Adjacent to a restaurant and wine tasting venue. Super luxury bathroom in our room.
We loved the beauty and quietness of this resort and the lovely restaurant in two areas. The location was a pleasant easy walk into town with it's many lovely restaurants and individual retail shops. It was nice to have the indoor open fire and BBQ facility out on the terrace with a table, chairs and comfy couch. The cottage kitchen was well equipped and the cottage size was very good.
We loved everything about The Village Cottage, couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful luxury space. Right in the center of town. So many fabulous restaurants right on the doorstep. Claire was so helpful and the check in instructions were the most informative I’ve ever received
Breakfast was great! We did not expect such a luxury suite! What a wonderful pleasure surprise to see that we have a dining area all to our selves and beautiful comfortable lounge :-)
Closeness to the centre of town. Great breakfast with super staff. Lovely views. They shared in our celebration. The room was clean and had luxury touches.
Chapter House Boutique Hotel in Franschoek, lovingly restored and developed by the talented Friedrich and Lorraine Schaefer, of Living Journey Collection - beautiful boutique properties also in Stellenbosch and Cape Town.
In fact our first night was so good we decided to stay on for a second night! In so doing we got to experience rooms in both the new development and the original house. Both exude equal charm, character and understated luxury.
Wonderful resort on the boschendal farm, beautiful countryside, perfect for families
