I liked how everything can be found within the resort. A shop sells all the necessary stuff needed if you forgot anything while packing. Pools, heated pool, slides for summer time. And the view is amazing
The property really caters to all ages, all activity levels, all preferences. You can just relax and enjoy your stay. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and the facilities were top-notch. Would highly recommend and certainly be back. We have a toddler girl and this was the only resort that we have ever been to that truly caters for kids of all ages.

This is my second visit to Windmill, we loved the cleanliness and great hospitality from host.
The resort is in immaculate condition. The cottage with covered parking and facilities were excellent and staff were a pleasure to deal with. The restaurant is well priced and enjoyable. The location of the resort is ideal for day tripping to the national parks and other nearby amenities
Everything, food was amazing, staff were amazing, room was exceptional, location is out of this world, we had another great stay at The Cavern, I first went to The Cavern in the late sixties as a kid, been going there on and off since then, we have been fortunate to get to go there twice this year, well worth the 12 hour flight from the UK, our favourite berg resort, already planning our next stay, well done Megan and Hilton, keep up the exceptional work.
It's just the most fabulous family holiday destination. Everyone, young and old, is catered for with incredible service from a dedicated, happy staff. There is nothing quite like a holiday in the beautiful Drakensberg mountains. Thank you to the Cavern Resort Team.
Very clean and well managed. Felt safe. A lovely family resort. Loved the indoor heated pool. We will definitely visit again. The resort has a generator so you do not feel effects of load shedding - that was awesome.
The Cavern was amazing. We only stayed for 2 nights and in that time we basically stayed within the resort itself. Tons of hiking trails on your doorstep (we were travelling with a 5 years old so only did the short strolls but they were spot on for us), nice facilities in the resort (tennis, billiard etc.) and the scenery is of course extraordinary. And then there's the food - way above what you'd expect for a family resort. Terrific.
