We loved the location and comfort of the room. Even though the cost was extra, the Odyssey Experiences guide was fantastic (I don’t believe he’s affiliated with the resort, just a contracted guide for guest experiences).

This is a great location on the North Shore. The main office has lots of games and activities to do! The views are superb! We visited in May, so it was a bit chilly. The heater in our room worked great! Check in and out went very smooth! Our pup was even catered for- the resort provided extra linens to cover the beds as well as dog-waste bags.

The location was great, as you could see Lake Superior and it was close to Lutsen Mountain Ski Resort for skiing. Also, the beds in the unit were comfortable. The lobby is fun, with a pool table, bumper pool, and games. They provided cross-country skis and snow shoes for guests for free. They also provide a jug of water for guests who don't like tap water. The hot sauna was lovely on a cold day.

There was no breakfast. The room was cozy and cabin feel. If you are looking for glam, Surfside and the Blue Fin Bay resorts is a better choice. If looking for cozy place to stay while enjoying the north shore, then Solbakken is perfect.

The lake is beautiful, the resort grounds are lovely, and the room had a lovely view toward the lake. It was nice to have a fireplace and kitchenette.

Restaurant food was delicious, but the service was extremely slow. Resort has a beautiful location right on Lake Superior.
