The room was very comfortable. The cafe and restaurant were both great. I needed to exchange my meal and had great service from the restaurant and room service. The walking trail was beautiful for an evening stroll and the view was greating having lunch either indoors or out. Wish I had more time to try the yoga, wine tasting, and bikes!

The event we were in Laguna for was in the South end of town, so for us the location wasn't ideal. But, it's summer in Laguna!
The Tides is an old school Laguna Beach motel. I grew up there, so It was just what I wanted. Staying in a big and super fancy resort would just feel wrong to me.
Bed was super comfortable and had good pillows! Small kitchenette would be very handy if staying for a few days.
The resort is in desperate need of restoration! Ripped carpets, rusted elevator controls, rotted wood, broken or ragged furniture, molded shower that smelt horrible, room cabinets coming off hinges. Then they want to nickel and dime you. Charging $45 a night for valet, $25 a night for the use of a microwave and also charging a resort fee for a pool that looks like your at a Motel 6! The view for ocean front is amazing.
This resort was very pretty and right on the beach. The coffee shop and gift shop was really cool because the front desk gives free drink coupons upon check in.
Everything seemed clean, if a bit dated. The price was right. I liked the plants everywhere. Free parking and no resort fees are plusses. The dog in the reception area was nice.
The food at the restaurant was great and service - impeccable. The property is unique with amazing views of the Pacific Ocean . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to visit this beautiful resort again !
Lyn and staff were super helpful and professional and seemed to enjoy hosting! Thanks Lyn! The lodge is across from an exclusive resort. If you stay at lodge you are allowed to walk to resort for lobby view of the ocean and coffee! A definite perk.
