The hotel is nice enough. There are not a ton of choices in that area. I didn't see any other actual hotels. Everything else around there is a resort. The room was comfortable.

Close to Timberline Mountain ski/snowboard resort. Nice area of town, not too crowded. Even though rooms were dated looking, it was still comfortable (nice heat, showers were hot, beds were pretty comfortable).

Staff were great and nice to chat with. Shower was wonderful and the beds were SO comfortable. Rooms were a good size. Outside grounds were very nice. Subway across the street and gas station. Blackwater State Park and Canaan Valley Resort very close.

We enjoyed our one night at the hotel. We wish we could have stayed longer. The layout of the resort was perfect for virtually any outdoor activity--hiking, swimming, biking, golf etc. We thought we got good value from the hotel and the related services. We will return again.

Nice, clean, comfortable, rooms with a colorful, modern decor. Pool and hot tub were nice on a frozen day. Operations at the hotel are scaled back because ski season is finished but spring/summer hasn't really begun. Dinner at the Hickory restaurant was fine but nothing fantastic (we ordered a basic burger and chicken sandwich). Did not eat breakfast at the hotel but it was offered in the restaurant. Felt a bit pricey for after taxes and resort fees, but I knew that going in.
