The location was a bit far out, most of the little shops were closed, except for a couple (gallery, clothing) and not many food choices, the same thing over and over - pizza or some kind of fried stuff! As for the room - decent size, you couldn’t go on the balcony because it was full of water and very cold. We did not ask for a handicap type wheelchair room - the shower not good - very low - my husband and I are both 5‘,8“ - water was all over the floor - the bed was so firm it was hard. There were noisy children running up and down the hallway. You could basically just hear everybody talking through the walls! The only bright spot was a young lady at the front desk, and she goes by two names - Shan or Shanquie. She was very knowledgeable about the area - where to go to eat outside of the resort, and it was really a very welcoming change to have this bright, bubbly personality to start your day, or to end your day! Excellent customer service with her! The other person was, I can’t remember his name, but he was the older gentleman at the bar, always accommodating, so polite made sure our coffees were extra hot! As for the food - Again, breakfast with the fresh fruit plate is what I had and that was the best thing that I had! It’s just an isolated area, and I would not be staying there again!

Accomodations. The positive and pleasant attitude of the staff. Especially the young guys were very pleasant and mature in handling challenging situations.
Travelers who really want to “get away from it all” trust resorts to provide the pinnacle of all-inclusive relaxation. Resort guests are invited to enjoy communal on-site amenities like pools, spas, restaurants, activities, excursions, and shops, and stay the night in luxurious private rooms, villas, or apartments.
The room itself was so much nicer than anticipated. Though it was a historic building, it had many upgrades that made us feel like we were living in luxury. We never had issues with our neighbors, and having a parking spot was nice in the middle of the city. Also, the staff was very nice. In initial communications, they seemed almost overbearing (asking when our flight would land, when we were planning on arriving, etc.). On meeting them, however, it was clear that this was just Southern hospitality at its best.
I loved staying at this resort. The rooms were beautiful, and the view from the hotel was spectacular. We enjoyed s'mores by the firepits as well as live music in the evening. It was great to see the kids enjoying the Easter egg hunt. Breakfast and dinner at the Fish House were great. We also enjoyed the water taxi to visit Charleston.
We used this property for our first ever girls trip. I loved the rooms. It was much better than staying in a hotel or resort. After the days of sightseeing in Charleston we were able to go to our room and decompress. It’s located in “North Charleston” but still easy to get to the attractions.
Fantastic place and outstanding location!
The suites are gorgeous. Outstanding service and friendlily employees!
The only issue is that the historical beds are too small !
Close to everything along with a beautiful resort that had three amazing pools and so much on site food and entertainment. We lived the water taxi along with the trolley that took us downtown. This will be a place we come back to over and over again.
The location is perfect, but the best part is by far the shuttle service to downtown. It is the main reason I stay there! It’s so convenient!! The resort itself it’s very nice and clean and I recommend it to anyone.
