Everything was amazing. The staff was super friendly, the pools were relaxing and comfortable, and the restaurant was phenomenal. Good drink options everywhere and it was nice having the little corner store at the resort.
Beautiful mountain setting nestled inside the San Isabel National Forest. Hot pool selection provided two family pools and river option, plus an adults-only venue with 3 small side pools offering extra hot, medium hot, mild temps in addition to a large common pool. Also - for an extra charge - a water slide and two more water pools for family guests. Resort provided complimentary bikes to guests and a small convenience store for grab-n-go food & travel sundries.
The location is beautiful. They have many well-placed areas to enjoy the beautiful mountain views. Despite being off the beaten path, they also have a lot of amenities available at the resort including a general store and equipment available to use.
Debbie, who checked us in, was outstanding with a winning smile and a friendly demeanor. She gave us the full rundown of the place and directions using the map and a little bit of history about the resort.
The views are stunning.
This was our third stay and we always have a great time. We usually rent a cabin but had fewer people so rented a deluxe room that was cliffside with amazing views. Staff is always nice and facilities are clean. Make reservations at the resort restaurant if you want to eat there. Buena Vista is a 10 min drive with plenty of dining options too.
Love all the amenities that this resort has to offer. It is great to relax in the creekside hot springs! Room was clean and comfortable, and the new infiniti hot pool is wonderful and convenient.
Location. Hot springs neat but kind of felt gross w all of the visitors who do not stay at the resort. While it is neat historically, the resort needs to upgrade the lighting, the flooring mats, the smell of the sauna, access to the springs down to the Chalk creek springs. I won't return even though I have been here 5 times before as it seems to be run down.
Access to the hot springs all day was excellent. The views around the resort were breathtaking. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
