This is old style motor lodge right beside the river. Staff is easy to deal with and the room was very comfortable. Don't expect resort sytle accomidations but it's great little place to rest your head for the night.
The view from this property is incredible. We made sure to catch the sunrise our second day at the property. The grill was stocked with utensils and propane, and there were many seating options by the fire pit and the balcony overlooking the mountains. The home was cozy, to say the least and living room couches made it impossible for guests to stay awake during movie night! There are many eating options just right outside of the community. I highly recommend visiting Cataloochee ski resort during your stay.
The lodge was well maintained our room was very clean.The location was great to restaurants, shopping and the GREAT SMOKEY MOUNTAIN RAILROAD. The hot tub was by far the best in any hotel,resort or lodge we've stayed in.The decor in the pool area and lodge itself was very nice and very tasteful.Staff wasn't very interacting with guest.We were presently surprised we had our room cleaned and restocked without asking.
We stayed in the lodge. The resort has an old rustic feel but is very clean and updated. The room has a rustic feel but is very clean, comfortable, and updated. The mattresses and pillows were perfect, soft yet firm. The bathroom door was solid wood, obviously from a previous era where craftsmanship was important. The shower was hot. The pool was beautifully kept. There weren't many people in the resort probably because we were staying Mon, Tues, and Wednesday.
