I was wecomed by the hospitable staff with warm towels,
really loved the services, location of African Yent resort because atleast i relaxed enough from gorilla trekking
The location of the resort is very nice but if you are looking for a quiet place, it is better to stay on one of the islands. They have a bonfire at night where you can sit and relax. The massage was very good.
Riverside Resort is outside the hustle and bustle of Kabale with beautifully landscaped grounds that attract many birds. The staff is most welcoming and the food is very good from a wide menu selection. The beds were comfy, the parking was secure, the showers had hot water, there was WiFi and laundry service was available. Would come back again.
The resort is fine but has a backpacker feeling to it. I highly recommend to arrive by boat as the roads are very bad even for Ugandan standards. The resort staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food options are limited.
It’s a budget resort on a small island, but rooms are clean and staff is great. You won’t have flush in the toilets and electricity in the room (only available at the restaurant), Wi-Fi is unstable, but who cares - this is a place to chill for some day and disconnect. They prepare good food for a reasonable price (10-30k ugx) and help to arrange boat tours and other activities (a bit expensive).
The staff of the guesthouse is super helpful and everyone is nice. The room and the other common spaces are clean and quiet, there is also a big balcony and a garden area if you want to chill. I tried the restaurant and I would say that you can get a good meal for 15.000-30.000 ugx, both local and international food. Don't expect a luxury resort but you will find everything you need for 1-2 days in Kabale.
Very cosy resort on a small island by the lake. Amazing views from the restaurant, and excellent location with boating providing easy access to hiking routes etc. along the vast coastline. Good efforts to preserve water etc. by limiting plastic bottle usage
