I liked my room, the landscape was beautiful. Wish the breakfast menu can be improvised as it tend to be boring after three days stay.

This Boutique Hotel was stunning, small, quiet and intimate. We loved the fact that this was a small hotel with limited rooms, meaning that were wasn't crowds of people, it wasn't loud, it was a perfect space to fully unwind, relax and enjoy the lovely scenery. Staff/Management were very friendly and made us feel special and always took great care of us. We stayed in the Luxury Pool Villa, which was amazing, would definitely stay there again, totally worth it, our very own private area with sun loungers, beautiful outlook and our own private pool, which was superb and the perfect size. We literally didn't leave this area for 5 days as we didn't need to, we had everything we wanted and if there was anything we needed staff would accommodate us. We sat in the pool all day and watched the tide go out to reveal a beautiful sandbank and then watched it come back in again, also we had the added bonus of a beautiful sunrise. The Villa was large spacious and clean, with great A/C, comfy beds and wifi connection was amazing. We were able to enjoy lunch in our Villa or relaxing by our private pool and again staff would always check to see if there was anything we needed. Breakfast location was lovely, always clean and set up nicely with a beautiful outlook. Food was lovely, something for everyone and staff were always very attentive. They would always accommodate any requests for food where possible, and food was fresh with a good selection. We had a couple of nights of entertainment which was pleasant and just enough. We wanted a quiet, relaxing 5 days break and that is exactly what we got, couldn't have asked for more and would absolutely recommend.

The resort is located directly on the beach. It peaceful and quiet, and makes for a perfect destination if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Staff are friendly, and Sheikha, the manager, was especially helpful during our stay. We were initially in a 2 bedroom family room, but since there was an issue with the drain smell that couldn't be sorted immediately, Sheikh moved us to two separate rooms which were equally comfortable if not, better. Breakfast was great, and the chef was keen to take a special request on one of the days. The hotel grounds and the pool are well kept and cleaned every morning.
On days we wanted to take a taxi to restaurants in the area, Sheikha arranged with the hotel driver to take us and bring us back.

A small, romantic and remote resort in Zanzibar. Looks like in the pictures! The food is better than at the famous "The Rock" restaurant. I would book it again!
Loved this resort! The food was amazing with a nice buffet, the general manager (Ally) was super accommodating and flexible. The staff were also friendly & willing to take as many pics as possible
Absolutely wonderful place! Resort is better than photos and the staff are the best ever. Cannot fault anything about the place. The weather was not the best for a couple of days but still had a fabulous stay. Breakfast is excellent with amazing fresh fruit and plenty of other choice. Ate at the jetty restaurant a couple of times which was good. All in all a stunning and lovely place to stay. Thankyou to all at Pongwe Bay!!

The chef in the resort was amazing also, any dish we fancied all we had to do was give 24 hours notice and it was done!
i don’t usually review the resort or hotels, but this resort is outstanding!
and i don’t usually repeat the experience if i travel in the same place, but if we ever go Zanzibar again (3rd time) we’ll definitely stay at Tulia again!!
i travelled a lot, saw many 5* resorts but this is the best, in my oppinion. exacly what we are looking for: quiet, exotic bungalows, luxury experience.
The breakfast was lovely, the staff was amazing and the views are sensational! I stayed at a number of places while in Zanzibar, and Karibu was by far the best, to the point that when we left and was staying somewhere else, we still went back and had dinner on the beach there. A special shout out to Mary who really did help in making our stay one to remember and organised everything we needed and asked for. A big thank you from me, and I would highly recommend Karibu Beach Resort to anyone wanting to find a quite bit of paradise.
