Fern Resort Mae Hong Son, hotel in Mae Hong Son

Wake up to the sounds of the jungle and running rivers at Fern Resort Mae Hong Son. This nature resort features traditional Shan tribe bungalows and an outdoor pool.

We liked the setting in the country, the grounds and atmosphere of the resort (very green with a lot of gardens and rustic - quiet and tranquil ). The facilities are older but well maintained. There’s also a walking trail behind the hotel.

A stunning resort run by friendly hill tribe folk who are welcoming and helpful. Everything is eco, the grounds showcase farming methods, salad consists of organic lettuce grown in the grounds. There are 2 gorgeous pools and one is an infinity pool that looks out over paddy fields and is a great place to watch the sunset. The bungalows are charming.

Absolutely loved everything about it! Yes the rooms are a bit dated perhaps, but that's part of the charm in my opinion. The grounds are so beautiful, the gardens, the pools, the rice fields... take me back. The staff were so nice, all very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was very good too, espec the pork curry which we had twice it was that good The resort dogs were so cute too!

The pool view, the seating area by your own hut, and the overall energy of the Fern Resort was amazing. There’s a hiking trail that starts at the resort to beautiful waterfalls! They even provide water for the trek. We did it in 3 hours. It’s a tough hike, not for elderly or children. Food was also very good! We ate there most of the time! The prices for food and booze are also great. I loved being able to charge to the room and pay at checkout.

A Thai style garden resort , nice and quiet. The bed was huge and comfortable and the linen super clean and fresh . The staff here don't speak English , however on arrival he hands you a telephone and you speak to the owner who confirms your booking . It was my second stay here and the system works fine . It's great value for money if you get the midweek price
