Amazing resort steps away from one of the best swimmable Pangan beaches, shops, vistas etc. The rooms are huge and have everything you need. The staff is super helpful and goes extra mile with renting you a bike, taxi or serving free breakfast afterhours. Manager Ron is always onside and happy to help. Will stay here again!

Simple layout, comfy bed, good aircon, tidy slightly updated paint job etc, very good location right on the beach, the sort of location you only get because it was there before the other places were built, stayed in the bungalow with beach view which just had the double bed, had your own porch to sit and relax facing the water. High quality if you like the modest bungalow vibe and is one of the best locations on the beach.

the location next to the beach this is the only positive thing in this place. And there are many other places with good location. Check them don’t come here! I didn’t read the reviews and that’s was my biggest mistake. I had the worst time ever there. And escaped to another place.

And waited 20 minutes with out no one to even say hi or what’s going on
After, they told the don’t get booking invitation
and eventually gave me other room and then what I payed for .
And I had to go back to this frustrating process to get what I paid for.
After really unpleasant interaction they changed my room and 15 minutes after I was already unpacked my stuff they knocked on the door and told me I need to leave for other room.

Great resort in a great location with good food and amazing staff. The only thing they would improve would be to offer free drinking water (only 5bhat but annoying)
Great stay in the quieter part of the island. The staff here is truly the best! Helpful , happy and going out of there way to make sure you have a great time. Good family resort. You have to try the Burmese curry at the restaurant, one of our best meal on our trip. Special shout out to Tom who was great with us and our son!
The hostel has a nice large restaurant/bar area which does a range of tasty food and good portion sizes. The pool area is nice but could do with some more shade being provided. It's close to the beach and a few restaurants/resorts
I had such a pleasant stay that I decided to stay longer. The team was always very friendly and it made me feel like home. I also really enjoyed the healthy breakfast every morning to get a lot of energy before visiting the island.The resort has plenty of beautiful trees and plants that keep the air fresh and shaded areas to relax. I mostly used the pool to cool down after a long warm day. I'd like to thank Tom and all the rest of the team for taking good care. I hope to be back soon.
Loved the view, awesome balcony, great resort, nice restaurant, easy beach access, awesome staff. Very happy overall, and the bike rental was awesome too, brand new bikes, well taken care of and great price.
Amara Beach Resort was located on a beautiful and quiet beach. The sunsets are amazing and there are several places to eat and drink along the beach. There is a 7/11 next door to the hotel and you can rent a scooter opposite. The bedroom was clean and the air-con worked well. The pool was good.
From the super nice receptionist, to the location, to the waiters, to the room!! Everything was exactly how i imagined my stay in a beach resort. We ate their breakfast, lunch and dinner! The VIEWWW! And the setting, just perfect! We even asked for another night, like 10 minutes after we arrived, thats how much we loved it! Also perfect for small children with the pool next to the restaurant!

The staff is absolutely great! Big thanks to the 3 T: Thet, Thu and Tom for the outstanding service and great chats! May at reception is also super helpful. The beach is just in front of the resort, the best in the island. We attended Yoga classes in the morning which was great. The resort is very nice and it offers a taxi service if you have no bike to move around the island. Food at the restaurant is very good. Really recommended, and if you go say hi to Tom!! :)
