What a wonderful resort! We had a Family Room and Mountain Cottage. Views from the rooms, breakfast, dinner, and everywhere we amazing. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, including airport pickup and a one day tour of the Doi Tung area by van. They even took us to the Hill Tribes coffee shop (same owner) about 15 minutes away which had more wonderful views. Excellent food, varied menu, plenty to do. A perfectly quiet and relaxing get-away with immersion in nature but very comfortable.

Very scenic setting. Duplex bungalows make it feel a little more exclusive than a regular motel. Their choice of complimentary soap bars provided in the bathroom is good quality and gets very sudsy and is good at moisturizing the skin.

DoiTung Lodge is located in Chiang Rai's Mae Fah Luang District, a 5-minute drive from Mae Fah Luang Garden, the Hall of Inspiration and Doi Tung Royal Villa.
Travelers who really want to “get away from it all” trust resorts to provide the pinnacle of all-inclusive relaxation. Resort guests are invited to enjoy communal on-site amenities like pools, spas, restaurants, activities, excursions, and shops, and stay the night in luxurious private rooms, villas, or apartments.
The room size was good and the general layout of the resort was fine with very convenient onsite parking. Breakfast was limited but adequate. The reception staff were always helpful.
We were visiting this area to get some sense of the wonderful Doi Tung Development Program and chose this property as our base. However, we discovered it is located at the bottom of Doi Tung, meaning a drive up the range to start the day, which was not ideal. Not the properties fault, but I make this point in case others have a similar thought.
