Perfect Stay at AVA Resort
We had an absolutely amazing stay at the AVA Resort! The hotel staff were exceptional—always attentive, incredibly friendly, and super helpful throughout our entire visit. They made us feel right at home and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. One of the most convenient aspects was that the hotel organized scooters and taxis for us, including our ride to the ferry. This made our checkout process incredibly smooth and stress-free.
The resort itself is beautifully designed, with lots of attention to detail. Our room was spotless, bright, and had a stunning view of the sea. Since the resort is located on the west coast, we got to enjoy breathtaking sunsets every evening. It was truly the perfect way to end each day.
What we also loved was that the resort is situated just slightly outside the busy areas, offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. But if you do want to get into town, it’s only a 5-minute scooter ride to downtown. So you get the best of both worlds—tranquility and easy access to all the local attractions.
Overall, it was a perfect stay, and we wholeheartedly recommend AVA Resort to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing vacation!

Great resort overlooking shark bay. The resort is located away from the crowds, with exclusive view to the bay. Beach is accessible though rocky.
We took a try diving class which was very professional and overall a great experience.

Amazing hotel, the view from the room was so nice. Its a 30 min walk to the center but u still have shops and restaurant at a 10 min walk distance.

My 3 time at this hotel, this time I took different room but when I got there I saw there is a lot of stairs so I asked for a different room and the manager gave us a better room with a private pool, was amazing and beautiful as always!

Booked last minute as we had a disaster with the previous hotel we had booked and did not want to stay there. Ban’s saved us! We loved the location and the facilities, lots of pool space and a beautiful property considering it is right in the Centre of the main beach resorts. Helpful staff and room was cleaned daily with fresh pool and personal towels provided.
The Resort is located in a gorgeous part of the island, at the end of the road that goes south. The huts are new and fresh, and the view from most is breathtaking. The resort is named after Freedom beach, which is easily accessible via stairs. Koh Tao has a lot to offer and Relax Freedom Beach Resort is great place to start. We also really appreciated the shuttle from and to the pier. The breakfast was generous and excellent, even including some delicious fried chicken one morning!
Comfortable room close to a beautiful beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed having breakfast on the beach every day after my morning swim. Massage Spa, 2 cafes and bars, pools, gorgeous beach - wind beach resort has it all! I will 100% stay here again.
The main attraction of this resort is definitely the view! It is absolutely beautiful and you can watch the sunset right from the balcony, which felt like such a luxury. The hut we stayed in was clean and tidy, which was great. Before arriving, we saw some reviews about the curtains not being blackout and this is certainly the case but it didn’t bother us too much. Great location to walk to bars, restaurants and the pier for any excursions!
My friends and I loved our stay at Wind Beach Resort - the staff were very friendly and really helpful, going over and above to make sure our stay was a great time. The room was perfect for the 4 of us - we loved being so close to the beach and we loved the pool and breakfast.
really nice property and great value especially for a beach resort! We had a garden view room and the garden was stunning! the shower was only cold water which wasn’t advertised on the booking but it wasn’t freezing cold so it was lovely given the heat.
We enjoyed a fantastic 7 days at Relax Freedom Beach Resort. Our room/hut had an amazing view over two bays and incredible sunsets - it even had an outdoor bath on the terrace. The hotel restaurants were on the beach, the food was great, the staff were so friendly and the little beaches were stunning - with excellent snorkelling too.
Great beach in front of the resort with plenty of shade and snorkelling opportunities. Lovely view from the room. There are a few restaurants and scooter rental places nearby. Keep in mind that the room is fan only and there is a 1000THB deposit in case of damage. It's a family resort so there could be a few kids around. Brilliant value for money.
